Feb 01, 2009 — The celebrations in honor of Charles Robert Darwin for his 200th birthday (Feb. 12) and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his influential book On the Origin of Species by Natural Selection (Nov. 29th) are well underway. It is hard to think of any other scientist who gets the kind of gushy adulation heaped on this one man. It borders on religious euphoria. Some examples:...

See...I don’t waste my previous few years on this Earth wondering about the purpose of the universe.

People who say they worship Jehovah are always complaining about all the errors He made in His book. They’re always revising what He said when they find new evidence. Why wouldn’t the Darwin worshipers do the same?

What you said was silly, done without knowledge, and I rewarded it as if it were written by someone having knowledge.

I meant reworded but rewarded works in a different way.

That's good. I do, and it's an amazing thing to behold. I don't regret one minute of time spent on it.

My book is astoundingly scientifically accurate. 5000 years ago Moses (the author of genesis), knew that light was created before the stars and sun (confirmed by the COBE experiments 5000 years later). Job, the earliest book in the Bible, knew that the earth was round and “hung in space”
But there are many other reasons for believing the truth in my Book. Your blind faith in Darwin is just as religious if not more than my faith in Darwin’s Creator.
But aren’t you cute.... -actually no, I don’t think you are.

Didja miss that there are NEW evolution scientists that are refining and discovering new "stuff" or do you just like to make general statements that aren't based in fact?

The National Geographic bemoaned in this exact thread actually has an article in it's "blind faith celebration of Darwin" entitled:

"Modern Darwins: they’re proving his genius-—and finding his ERRORS

Just because there are errors found in what Darwin researched 150 years ago, doesn't mean the theory isn't sound, just that it needs to be slightly modified to encompass what is discovered today. THAT's "science" any day of the week.

Go ahead and actually READ some research doing exactly what you claim is not happening and then come back......but I won't hold my breath.

I don’t waste my precious few years on earth wondering about the purpose of the universe - I use them getting to know the One I will spend eternity with. One of the ways I get to know Him is learning about His creation. I feel sorry for those of you who are too “sophisticated” to have a sense of wonder.

>>>Na, not me. I believe the universe randomly and without purpose just suddenly popped into existence.
:roll eyes:<<<

yep...’zactly!

created by nothing
out of nothing
for no purpose whatsoever!

Provoing that life is utterly meaningless,
There are no rules, except the rule “survival of the fittest”,
Which directly negates any claims of the existence of “morality”.
For morality is rendered to be a weakness to be preyed upon by the most fit for survival.

“Let it be known to you, O King, that your gods are not the ones we are serving, and the image of gold that you have set up we will not worship”. (Dan. 3:18)

We won’t even doff our hats to this tin plated god, Darwinism.

The praise services have been going on for a long time. Check this one out from 1912, a momentous year for Darwinism: Piltdown Man was announced, and the First International Eugenics Congress was convened.
