i m a publik scewl teechur. I question myself everyday. It is heartbreaking. I became an educator because I love educating. I did not become a teacher for June, July and August. I don’t know what to do.

"Unless he is the Messiah the mainstream media claim he is, I can assure him his talking cure for terrorism and genocide is a waste of time and will simply give Iran more time to build a nuclear bomb."

The "talking cure" would, however, be the perfect tactic for an anti-messiah, to bring about the destruction of many.

I watched a program on “The History Channel” a couple of days ago. It was about the crusades. It was so anti-Christian and pro Islam that I had to turn it off in just a few minutes.

One phrase stuck in my mind. “The Crusaders were trying to steal Jerusalem from the Moslems”.

Pure unadulterated garbage.

We may also eventually need the help of Kenya’s military on this. They successfully overturned the same thing in Somalia.

In the mainstream public schools...Islamic instruction “presents a picture of Islam that is so pristine and peaceful that it sometimes crosses the boundary from mere pro-Muslim bias to outright Islamic proselytizing.

Islam proselytized by teachers who most likely are religion-despising atheists. But because Islamics are the enemies of Western civilization, the liberal teachers view this as an "enemy of my enemy is my friend" situation, oblivious to the fact that if the "pristine and peaceful" Islamics ever gained sufficient power they'd gut the teachers' union like a fish. ...literally. Leftists hate America more than they fear Islam.

Islam at the college level isn’t surprising. Hundreds of millions of Arab dollars are flowing into our universities in the form of gifts, grants and contracts. High-level universities are establishing satellite campuses (campi?) in the UAE. Of course they aren’t going to bite the hand that feeds them.

The word system, as in educational system, implies that it is something that can be controlled and manipulated from a central location. This is central to understanding what the subversives are attempting.

Where are the parents in mitigating the damage being done by the nonsense being taught in our schools? I have three children, ages 5 through 16, who all could recite the Pledge of Allegiance before getting to school age; they understand that not all points of view are good or valid; they understand that America actually has a culture of our own built on liberty and personal endeavor; they understand that States are supposed to be sovereign and why; and they understand that socialism and communism are bad (and why).

Turn off the television, get off the couch, and teach your children!

We lost the public education system beginning back in the early 40’s when the Marxist began to take it over.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

FYI, ping for those not on the *Another Reason* list.

This is well worth seeing for cultural and survival of America reasons alone.

I am a publik skool graduate and a student at a public university. I’ve seen too many liberal profs in school and subtle Islamic influences in college. BUT I haven’t lost my brain cells (I am still a FReeper ;-) ) and I know BS when I hear it. The problem is, so many kids don’t and they readily buy into this crap. There are soooo many 0bama-worshippers on campus....it’s kinda scary, really.

1. In Islamic academies in America, with teaching materials from Saudi Arabia and other sources, the academies indoctrinate unequivocal hatred toward non-Muslims, and deep suspicion of our Western values.

There have been calls to "privatize" education, and give parents tax credits or government subsidies to send their children to private schools. Just be aware that if we do that, this is an example of where some of that money will be going.
