Obama's abortion war
Washington Times ^ | 1/28/2009

Posted on 01/28/2009 2:43:34 AM PST by markomalley

No sooner had President Obama taken the oath of office than he betrayed two of his campaign promises.

In pledging to unite us, not divide us, he promised to find common ground on cultural issues, especially to search for ways to reduce the number of abortions. He thus won the vote of many pro-life voters who believed they could find compromise measures to America's most contentious domestic policy issue. In fact, Mr. Obama secured 54 percent of the Catholic vote, many of whom are staunchly pro-life. Yet, on late Friday afternoon, in as quiet a manner as possible, the president repealed the ban on U.S. funding for foreign family planning aid groups that offer abortion services. This means that American tax dollars can now be used to provide abortions around the world; America is back in business as Doctor Death to millions of the world's babies.

(snip)

Where is the outrage among the pro-life pro-Obama supporters who assured them throughout the campaign that Mr. Obama deserved their support because he would defend life?

(snip)

Only three days into a new administration, the president of "hope" and "change" revealed that, in this enormous matter at least, he will not be a new leader who will work towards a kinder, gentler, more unified America. Instead he is immediately exacerbating old wounds in the body politic: He is simply a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Mr. Obama does not seem to realize that Pope Benedict XVI, much of the Islamic world, and America's pro-life community, including many Protestants and others, will not go silently into the night. The reality of pre-term babies being killed is not a minor matter that can be ignored according to political fortunes: It creates a moral imperative from which there will be no relenting. The battle begins anew.

...Mr. Obama secured 54 percent of the Catholic vote, many of whom are staunchly pro-life.

Is he sure about the Catholic voters voting for Obama being pro-life?

Many pro-life voters only saw the color of The Obamessiah's skin.

This reminds me that I'm right when I say the vast majority of Americans are just f'ing brain-dead idiots.

They'll get treated like the slave sheep they are.

Because those “Christians” who believed him during the campaign are still hung-over from the coronation and they haven’t noticed this, and those who noticed, don’t understand what just happened. They are stupid. (They voted for Caligula, didn’t they?)

Catholics were told about this guy and His party. The Dem party has been in a battle with the Church for quite some time.

If that 54% is looking for a way out, this article will not provide it. Things will only get worse. Nancy will be back as well.

Sleep with a dog / get the flees. Its their conscience

I once saw a letter to the editor where an idiot woman said she couldn’t believe Granholm would veto a partial-birth abortion ban because she was “such a pretty lady”. People are stupid and believe what they want to belief in spite of the facts right there in their face. Americans deserve all the financial pain coming their way.

I have no decent words to qualify that

I am SERIOUSLY thinking about taking up my own little advertising apostolate: making up some flyers and inserting them on windshields of cars with Obama stickers in Catholic Church parking lots. The flyers would say something along the lines of:

(very graphic picture of an aborted baby)
THEIR BLOOD IS ON YOUR HANDS

YOU call yourself a Catholic, and yet you voted for the most pro-death candidate in the history of the USA.

His pro-death policies being implemented are YOUR fault. You cannot deny it, as the Church let you know his real agenda! YOU will have to stand before GOD ALMIGHTY and explain your stand with the baby butcherers and against His Bride.

HOW DARE YOU RECEIVE THE PRECIOUS BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST WITH THE BLOOD OF INNOCENTS ON YOUR SOUL!!!

REPENT

Do I think that would do any good? No. But it sure would be satisfying...

There are RINOS and there are CINOS. CINOS show up for the hatch, match, and dispatch chapters in life. They go missing otherwise, especially on key policy issues such abortion. V’s wife.

Since so many seem to be having problems it's time to go back to the basics.

This...

...is Shinola.

This...

...isn't.

It is imperative to know the difference.

the spin on this in the MSM was that he hadn't allowed TV cameras into the signing so that prolifers wouldn't have it shoved in their faces.

I went down to a Milwaukee Brewer game last fall with some colleagues. They were both Catholic and yet were going to vote for B. Hussein. I gave them all the arguments regarding B. Hussein's dismal record on abortion and partial birth abortion and it didn't faze them one bit.

They just wanted "change". Goodness... how do you argue with people who don't think?!

Luke 23:27And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.
28 But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.
30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. (IMO it's to hide them from their shame)
31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

Hussein II, like the former Hussein, is a detestable, evil, freak of nature, bent on the barbarian destruction of the innocent. Just as Hitler was brought to task, so too, will the Obamanation. Just as the Germans stood by and watched, so too will we. Sadly, we call ourselves civilized. Some future generation will see otherwise and look on this practice and the Obamans with deserved contempt.
