Nancy, FYI,
What is tragic is that so many are willing to ignore her and vote vote Dem anyway, or even “think” the way Pelosi does: grasp at any argument, no matter how despicable or preposterous, to support abortion.
I was stunned to see 3 Dems vote no. So there are some liberals with shreds of honor. And shame on the GOP senators who voted to confirm. If they had voted against Geithner the vote would have been much closer and sent a strong signal against the new administration. I am especially disappointed in Cornyn.
Carter is my congressman. It's nice to have someone that you feel good about voting for.
Back in October when freepers we claiming the world would end if McCain lost(HA-HA) ,I tried to tell them that fun days like these were ahead, where Obama has to swallow the crap and we get to shoot it down. Read above again, it's first fun politics again after 14 years (1994.)
When asked about the increase in funding to entities like planned parenthood in the stimulus bill, she did try to make it appear that contraception was the target of the funding. Yet these funds will NOT/NOT be specifically required to be used for contraception. And she specifically gave the reason that this funding is germane to a stimulus bill on the grounds that reducing the number of children being born would stimulate the economy.
She was trying to lay a smoke screen. Most of the money would go to groups like Planned Parenthood, which are 90% abortion providers and 10% contraception providers — and they are not limited as to how they allot the funds. It’s a bailout for abortion mills and everybody with half a mind knows it.
What you said. =]
For Pelosi, the ends justify the means (except WRT terrorists).
While Pelosi pretends to act in the interests of minorities, she is the moral heir of Margaret Sanger, who said,
It is a vicious cycle; ignorance breeds poverty and poverty breeds ignorance. There is only one cure for both, and that is to stop breeding these things. Stop bringing to birth children whose inheritance cannot be one of health or intelligence. Stop bringing into the world children whose parents cannot provide for them. Herein lies the key of civilization. For upon the foundation of an enlightened and voluntary motherhood shall a future civilization emerge
Damn, he's worse than Chucky Smucky Schumer.
