* Girl abused for years * Kills stepfather after forced into oral sex * May not have acted in self-defence, court told

A VICTORIAN teenager has been ordered to stand trial for the murder of her stepfather who allegedly took nearly 10,000 pornographic pictures of her in four years.

The Shepparton Magistrates' Court was told that on March 13 last year, the stepdaughter shot the 34-year-old in the back of the head to put an end to daily sexual abuse that began when she was 14.

The man's dismembered torso was unearthed in a shallow grave in the backyard of their Mooroopna home on April 9 and further remains were discovered two days later at a campsite nearby at Old Toolamba, in Victoria's north.

The teenager, now 19, has pleaded not guilty to murder.

Her defence barrister Peter Chadwick told the court on the night of his death, the woman's stepfather ordered the accused to go to a shed at the back of their home where he demanded she perform oral sex on him.

Mr Chadwick told the court when the teenager declined, citing a sore throat, the stepfather removed a shotgun from his gun cabinet, loaded it and asked her to rethink her answer.

After she performed the act, she moved behind him and seeing the loaded shotgun lying on the ground, picked it up and fired it at the back of his head.

Just a grizzly case of suicide, if you ask me.

As a juror I wouldn’t vote to convict.

...along with forming a relationship with a man her stepfather had banned her from seeing three days after his death, could be construed as something other than self-defence.

Exactly HOW did he ban her from seeing someone three days after he was already dead?

On a separate note: Based on what is reported, this is one of the clearest cases of self-defense homicide I have ever seen or heard of, and I can't imagine what the prosecutor is thinking, or IF he is thinking.

2nd undeniable truth about liberalism:

Liberals oppose all free choices except those related to sexual behavior. In which case they oppose any effort to restrict it in any way.

The prosecutor could be of the mindset that child rape is just another sexual preference choice...

just sayin’. Libs ARE without a moral compass when it comes to sex.

I've heard that with abuse cases, the victim many not believe that she (or he) can flee or run to authorities.

There was a case in MN, where a woman was severly beaten. Cops didn't/couldn't prevent it. the guy got a slap on the wrist. When the woman got out of the hospital he was waiting for her at home. the guy told her to make him some dinner then he was going to kill her. She made him dinner then shot him in the back of the head. ....she walked.

Justifiable homicide. The stepfather needed killing.

Well, there IS this: He agreed while there were many pictures of the pair engaged in sexual activity, "by far the large majority were of just the accused".

MOST normally functioning, moral, humans with ANY compassion whatsoever for children would think ONE "picture of the pair engaging in sexual activity" would be enough to justify her escaping her tormentor by whatever means she saw fit. But since MOST of them were "of just the accused", a CHILD at the time the pictures were taken, this guy seems to think it's somehow A-O-K.

Earth to prosecutor!!! SOMEONE had to TAKE those picture "of just the accused".

What a loser a-hole this guy is.

You brought up another point, something that I have learned is a common occurrence with women of no moral compass:

They’d rather let their kids be abused by the step-father or boyfriend than to “lose him”.

If you read some of the articles on lifenews and lifesitenews, you’ll come across abortion anecdotes regularly where the “boyfriend” raped the daughter, but the “mother” didn’t want to “lose him” by turning him in for rape.

And if you brought this situation up to a “pro-choicer”, they’d DEFEND IT. Seriously.

I went back and read some of the earlier articles on this case.

If this had occurred in the United States (outside California or Massachusetts, at any rate) I don’t think ANY charges would have been brought against this girl in the first place; never mind going to trial.

Her MOTHER, now.... THAT’S another story. It’s pretty clear she knew EXACTLY what was going on.

Someone needs to tie crown prosecutor Mark Gamble to a chair with “cable ties and towels” and beat a little sense into him. God help this poor girl.

The stepfather needed killing.

I generally agree with your sentence, but I am a bit squeemish about the execution style (shotgun to the BACK of the head) and the following dismemberment.

I believe that cases like this can lead to other miscarriages of justice when a woman shoots her mate while he's sleeping on the couch. If they're in an abusive situation, they can walk out the door. There's a lot of places out there that will take them in. This girl was 19 at the time of this incident, and should have been able to leave the home and live on her own.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg once wrote a paper advocting the age of consent be lowered to 11 years old.

Alot of times soomeone that has been sexually abuse has a spilt personality.

The next work of pedophiles is far reaching. There is a website in Australia that proports that the network includes, judges, police, social workers etc. And these pople work to suppress reports of this type of behaviour.

""He had used the images to blackmail her into submission. Asked by police what she thought would have happened if she hadn't killed him, she said she probably would have killed herself because she could not keep living the way she was.""

No matter what it seems that one of them was going to die.

Glad it was the right one.

Where did you find the earlier articles on this. I’d be very interested in reading something about her Mother. It seems very peculiar to me that there is no mention of the Mother in this article. What the hell was she doing when this was going on?

I think the author meant that 3 days after Daddy-dearest died, she started the relationship that her father had previously banned.

Well apparently this is OK, afterall it’s not like it was incest. /s

I realize she went “a little” overboard by dismembering him after shooting him, but I would say the girl was a bit distraught.

Let’s hope the jury has more sense than this prosecutor.

If this had occurred in the United States (outside California or Massachusetts, at any rate)...

Care to back up the comparison with actual facts or statistics or do you just take opportunistic license to slam on other peoples' home states making spurious comments such as that?

Yeah, yeah CA is a "blue" state, but that doesn't mean every person living here is a lib or would even consider the act of eradicating a pos like this as something akin to a crime.

No reply necessary, I pretty much know the answer.

This should be a slam dunk. The girl’s act was simply self defense. That her father had pictures of the long standing and frequent abuse should have led to the prosecutor not indicting her.

That the case has been pursued this far is a travesty. If it were me I’d find a way to indict the prosecutor for aiding and abetting a sexual predator.
