"Draft" Gary Sinise for United States Senate (R-Illinois).
Apparently "Lt. Dan" is from Illinois!
There's a petition at the site to urge him to run in 2010.

At the crux of my entire dissertation is this: If we want a revolution - we will only get it buy DRAFTING the people who DON’T WANT THE JOB?
buy?
Unless CSI NY has been cancelled I don’t see this happening
Hey - the computer said it was spelled correctly!
Computer’s fault, I know.
Tireless supporter of the troops who travels the with his band to entertain them.
Tireless supporter of the troops who travels the ? with his band to entertain them.
Stupid computer.
No thanks. I’ve had my fill of “Republican” actors.
Ronald Reagan????
I think he’s talking about Ahhnuld-but to call him a Repbulican is a stretch, heck to call him an actor is a stretch.
It makes plenty o' sense to me.
Charlton Heston? Fred Thompson?
Well duhhh. Of course not Reagan, but since him we've been treated to Arnold, Clint Eastwood and Mel Gibson. All of those clowns stood tall and made big conservative noises at first but then descended into whimpering PC liberals. No thanks. There was ONE Ronald Reagan, and there'll never be another.
I know, I know. Just messing with ya bro.
can we please quit talking about movie stars? How about an honest to goodness entrepreneur? How about someone that really is connected to real life and real work? Maybe a farmer or rancher? Maybe a school teacher or an engineer/architect?
Hell, I’d take a teamster or a cop over a movie star, in general.
He seems more like executive material to me. The Senate is such a wasteland. Nevertheless, he could provide effective service there. Lt. Dan is the man!
Gibson never claimed to be a conservative...just a devout Catholic.
Film making is real work.
I have little hope for the GOP as long as they get their panties in a bunch over crap like name recognition or star power.
God love Gary Sinese for all he does for our troops, at home and abroad. But, does anyone really know his political leanings or positions on key issues?
I know the assumption is that he’s a Republican, but their was a time (before 1968) when Democrats were actually patriotic as well - I imagine there may be a handful that still are.
My guess is Sinese is very patriotic Democrat.
