There is a public rally scheduled in Brevard County to show the community's support for Israel's defense of its own country and citizens.
Where: The intersection of 192 and Babcock in Melbourne.
When: This Sunday, January 11th
Time: 12:00 Noon - 3:00P
What to bring: Israeli & American Flags, shofars, tambourines, and signs that are in good taste.
What to put on signs: Please do not incite supporters of Hamas and those against Israel any more than they already have incited themselves. After reading the lies told by their signs this last weekend, it is now more important than ever that the truth be told.
Below are phrases/statements that can be used for a sign if you want to create one - which is greatly encouraged. A couple of these phrases were coined by President Bush and Israel Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, but are all truthful and accurate.

These phrases are only suggestions, and of course you can polish them into shorter phrases if you can.
Our community must counter the signs used last weekend by local ill-informed Muslims which stated that Gaza is the new holocaust because 500 women and children murdered [their word]- Gaza/genocide.
None of these words are true. Consider, Israel uses only guided munitions and even phones ahead to warn civilians of impending attacks, so if there are civilain deaths, it is because people were not permitted to evacuate. Hamas uses its own people for propaganda purposes, and does this by purposely locating their supplies, munitions and weapons amongst civilians in residential areas, while the "brave" Hamas leaders hide in hospitals!
Whatever signs you may be inspired to create, always express the truth, and double check it. The truth must prevail, and our community, Christian and Jewish alike, must publicly denounce the lies and distortions that are being created by those that blindly accept the lies of Hamas, Hizbollah, Iran and other Islamofascists terrorist entities!

Brevard County, Florida ping.I am totally in support of this, however I am worried that you guys will be targeted by nutcases. I hope you have taken precautions. A Muslim in Orlando assualted a woman and tore up her sign because she was protesting against terrorism. I am all for a show of support, but Please remember that these people are not in their right minds and act accordingly. :(
I think it is important to get out there and let these left wing radicals and muslims know that they are in a minority.

NYC PRO-ISRAEL RALLY OVERWHELMING
The last minute, thrown together pro-Israel rally in NYC today was so packed, so overwhelming, they were turning Jews away. You could not get to the rally. The support parade was across from the Israel consulate between 42nd and 43rd. The police could not contain the throngs of happy, peaceful supporters and forced folks off 2nd Avenue. It was unbelievable.
I have been to all those Jew hating rallies, and they take over whole swaths of New York (this past weekend, for example) - they are given huge amounts of space, but the cops would not let us into the barricades. The Israel supporters were pouring into the streets. The young and the old - what a stark contrast from the haters’ demonstrations. Dark vs. light.

oh I think it’s important to show up too. I would if I still lived in Florida. I just didn’t know if the supporters realized the crazies that live in Florida.
The radicals in D.C. are a little smarter than in other towns. They are holding their terror supporting demonstration this Saturday, when Jews will be at the Synagogue. Hope some get out early and help us FReepers and others.

It should be scheduled starting at 1pm, so that gives time for Christians who support Israel to finish up church at 12:30pm, run home and get freshened up and bathroom break, quick sandwich, and then go to the rally. Starting it at 12 noon will cut down on the number of pro-Israel Christians who could attend.

Somebody ask the American Jews at this meeting why they vote overwhelmingly for Dems. I’m tired of arguing with my friends about this.
Maybe I’ll here something different.
I have a girlfriend from NY who is secular Jewish and voted Obama. It’s odd because on many subjects she thinks and lives her life like a conservative, but when it comes to politics it all goes flying out the window and it’s Democrats all the way for her. She voted for Obama because he’s black and liberal and he speaks well. I think it’s just force of habit in the US for secular Jews to vote Democrat, because they don’t know any better, and it’s what their families have always done, so why rock the boat and dare to be different among your own relatives? and since few of them have any faith in God they don’t see any spiritual aspect to their choices. More faithful and believing Jews in Israel are very different from the secular ones here in America.
And of course when the Republican options are RINO options and not much different from Democrat options there really isn’t any good reason for me to harp on the issue with her.
