And the difference between her and Al Franken is?
a true Kennedy would say UH not “You know” like some teenybopper.
So I think in many ways, uh,, we want to have all kinds of different voices, uh,, representing us, and I think what I bring to it is, uh,, my experience as a mother, as a woman, as a lawyer, uh,, I’ve been an education activist for the last six years here, and, uh,, I’ve written seven books two on the Constitution, two on American politics.
“So obviously, uh,, we have different strengths and weaknesses.”
142 times? You know, that’s a lot. You know?
Sarah was set up to fail from the git go. It will be interesting so see how the media continues to treat Caroline
Like. You know. Ping.
You know, I admire her consistency. You know I do, you know?
I broke my kids of this habbit by always saying, "No, I don't know. Please explain it to me!" every time they said it.
I wonder why Katie Couric was not asked to interview her ( or Charles Gibson ) to ask her about her foreign policy views or what her views are concerning the Bush Doctrine.
Let’s hope this, uh, er, y’o, uh imitation of uh 0bamma doesn’t, y’o, continue among, uh, y’o, DemocRATS
Former Indiana Pacers player George McGinnis had the same speech pattern. My dad & I used to count the number of times he said “you know.” However, we NEVER came close to 142!
It’s sad that being articulate is no longer a desired trait in a United States Senator, and that being host of a glad-handing made-for-TV awards show is believed to be an adequate substitute.
LOL—Part of the difficulty in being a Kennedy is that you’re too good for something like, say, your local Toastmasters club!
Her lack of capacity for lucid thought and speech is not a serious impediment in her bid for a Senate seat in a liberal state. In fact, it probably adds to her qualifications as far as the Democrat party is concerned. I guess our friends across the pond haven’t realized that yet, but their concern is appreciated and duly noted.
Okay, so she has Hitlery beat by about 20 "you knows".
If Hitlery is qualified then by God, why isn't Carolyn?
Caroline: "You know."
Barrack: "Uhhhhhh."
Caroline: "You know."
Barrack: "Uhhh."
Caroline: "You know."
Barrack: "Uh."
........
“Entitled.”
If she’s lost the NYT, she’s lost, er, America.
The lib media shamelessly carried Hillary’s train and laid down in the mud for her to walk over on her way to the Senate.
This is not happening for Princess Caroline.
Her irritation at having to pretend to campaign and at being asked perfectly legitimate questions by common media wretches is palpable. Of course Gov. Paterson can still nose-thumb the electorate and appoint her, but all the fund-raising prowess in the world will not win HIM his election if he drops trou and moons the NY voters.
Her main problem with fellow libs is, of course, that she did not pay her dues over the years and spread some of that wealth around to build up party chits. No power brokers (save Obama) owe her any favors.
Why are they calling a 51-year-old, married woman “Miss”? Is it a British thing? Do they not use the abbreviation Ms. there?
Just curious. :)
What I find rather amusing is the fact that someone from such a “prestigious” political family would speak in an interview in this way... Even as a political “newbie” some years ago I knew better than to use my normal “at home” relaxed speech manner in an interview. I’m surprised someone like Caroline wouldn’t realize these things... Either she really does have that entitlement attitude that makes her believe that just because she is a Kennedy she should be above criticism, or she really IS a complete airhead!
It would be really funny if they quizzed her on the books she “wrote.” Pro’ly wouldn’t have a clue!
"Have you guys ever thought about writing for, like, a woman's magazine or something?" she asked, to which the reporter countered by asking what she has against women's magazines?
