Cancelled subscription, tossed the old ones in the garbage. This will be a huge mistake. People will NOT give up their guns. Our 2nd AM rights mean something. It is our only chance against tyrrany and if obama thinks he’s getting mine, sorry, lost them all when a canoe turned over. Bring your metal detectors too. GOOD LUCK.
If it comes to this, put them in a plastic case or bag, store them OFF of your property.

"As a society, we're totally out of control with weapons," said one Philadelphia cop who was interviewed during the show. "You need to limit access that people have to these type of firearms."Dear Philly Cop,
If you're of the opinion that there are "too many guns on the street," I suggest that if the real goal is to reduce the number of guns on the street, that all the police officers should turn in their guns and go about their business unarmed.
If the goal is to reduce the criminal misuse of guns then the solution is simple and two-fold:
a) Allow more law abiding citizens to carry guns legally, in more places. You would be allowing those least likely to commit a crime the ability to defend themselves.
b) Put the criminals in jail for longer periods of time.
It's pretty simple, really.

"Allow more law abiding citizens to carry guns legally, in more places. About 6:00am we stopped at a bar/restaurant for breakfast. Place was packed with hunters each carrying a sidearm. Couldn't imagine someone trying to rob the place. Talk about feeling safe. Really enjoyed that breakfast!

I will compete with any randomly chosen 100 or 1000 cops and I will finish in the top quarter on a bad day.
I was thinking of something similar with the NYPD. Their best shooters, including SWAT, I'd probably come in in the 15 or 20. And I haven't fired anything in months.

Here's my response.
Why in the world would National Geographic put out a show on a subject that is so far from their area of expertise?
Citing flawed statistics from discredited studies squanders your hard-earned reputation and causes me to question your honesty and your motives.
You owe an apology to your audience and a return to your previous values.

“...Why in the world would National Geographic put out a show on a subject that is so far from their area of expertise?...”
Even in their area of expertise the NG has had major screw ups and scandals. That “newly discovered” tribe in the Philippines that wore no clothing and were so peaceful and gentle turned out to be town folk paid to take off their clothes and run around in the area of a couple of primitive huts.

Its been my experience Philly cops are totally worthless, with more than a few corrupt.
As for my guns...from my cold dead hands.

What an either ironic or ignorant remark from a Philly cop. How many people have been killed in Philly in the past couple years? How many of them were police officers?

why dont they just put up the natives showing their breasts and leave guns to men that know what to do with them.
Them being breasts, or guns?

National Geographic photoshops images, moving pyramids on the cover and multiplying the number of animals to create a “herd”.
They are a trash publication these days. No credibility.

"I read a post on another message board that the Fraternal Order of Police Chiefs overwhelmingly voted for little o. Is this true?"
What's a "little o?" Anyway, most of them are very anti-family (feminist, etc.), big-government and much in favor of banning private ownership of weapons/firearms. Most, if not all hiring policies have favored single (non-married) individuals with no military combat training. Continued employment in such agencies is unlikely for married men with military combat training. They are hated by the others. ...been there and seen it happen to several others in several jurisdictions.
And they call organized crime, "politics."

I gave up on Nat. Geo. years ago when they stopped doing anything even remotely related to geograhica, and they became nothing but a mouthpiece for the environmentalist movement.

It's a shame that they decided to go down the global warming road. This is another reason to cancel their cable channel and save some money.
