Mumbai: Acting swiftly and decisively, Indian commandos launched a clinical operation on Saturday to eliminate two militants holed up in the iconic Taj hotel in Mumbai to end a 59-hour terror drama, the country's longest, which claimed 148 lives and soured ties with Pakistan.
The militants had attempted to create a diversion by torching two ground floor shops in the hotel's northern wing, hoping the thick black smoke would conceal their movements but this didn't work as the security forces required just over 20 minutes to eliminate them.
"The operation is over," an extremely pleased Mumbai Police Commissioner Hasan Gafoor told reporters at the hotel, even as cleanup operations were underway.

I’m watching NDTV from India. They just read a message from Obama, about standing with India to “destroy the terrorists.” I’m shocked. Shocked that he used the word “terrorists.”
I heard Big O’s speech read by the IBN commentator. To be honest, it seemed rather....blah. It was the kind of statement we would expect to come out of Switzerland or Norway. Aside from using the phrase “destroy the terrorists,” the rest was a bit mild. Nothing about defending freedom and democracy, nothing about using all necessary means, nothing about breaking the link between terrorist networks by their sponsor nations, etc. And, of course, not even an allusion to the words “radical”, “islam”, or “islamic”.
Of course.
So, what did the President say?

It might not make any sense to *you*, but if causing havoc was their mission, I’d say they were successful.
According to islam there are two parts of the world — Dar ul Harb where disbelievers live and Dar ul Islam where Moslems live. It is the Islamic tenet of faith that Darul Harb should be a place of strife and war, until the peace of Islam comes. So your hometown, your neighborhood will become a place of strife and terror until you embrace Islam. THAT is what these jihadis want, nothing else. Islam is not logical, not moral, nothing - it is the worship of Satan/Allah, nothing more.
If you have any Muslims neighbors etc. remember that their philosophy is evil and they will kill you or your children/grandchildren or both. That is not because they are inherently bad, rather that Islam is inherently evil, a religion preached by an angel to Mohammed (most likely Lucifer himself) — read the Koran and you would see that.
All of my neighbors are Muslim. Some of my colleagues are Muslim. The unanimous comment from all of the Muslims I know is that they can't understand why anyone murders in the name of Islam. It isn't the Islam they grew up with or that they learned in the mosque. They find murder repugnant and find it embarrassing that the world view of Islam stems from these evil acts of terrorists. The government of the UAE issued an official statement condemning the Mumbai terrorists.
