I heard Big O’s speech read by the IBN commentator. To be honest, it seemed rather....blah. It was the kind of statement we would expect to come out of Switzerland or Norway. Aside from using the phrase “destroy the terrorists,” the rest was a bit mild. Nothing about defending freedom and democracy, nothing about using all necessary means, nothing about breaking the link between terrorist networks by their sponsor nations, etc. And, of course, not even an allusion to the words “radical”, “islam”, or “islamic”.
Of course.

I have to admit I almost fell out of my chair listening to a Reuter’s report yesterday, and the journalist actually used the phrase “Islamic terrorists”!! Thud!
