I hope we can count on Roberts,Scalia,Alito and Thomas on this.
Usually SCOTUS tries to avoid controversial decisions that will lead to political firestorms.
But how could anyone criticize the very reasonable request that Obama come up with proof of his birth and citizenship? As many Freepers have noted, you can’t even get a driver’s license or a low-level security clearance without showing a birth certificate.
Perhaps Obama will fall back on Plan B, and explain that he wasn’t really born in Hawaii, but descended straight from heaven.
This meeting should be held in full view of the public. CSpan should be allowed to put this on TV. The people have a right to know about the President-Elect. My view.....SCOTUS may be afraid of mass riots and not really give the full truth about Obama. They need to enforce the Constitution.....no matter the results and ramifications. We can handle it.
The Constitution is just an old piece of paper if those in charge of protecting the ideas written down on it, decide to ignore it.
That’s what the media, and the Obama camp, is counting on. They are counting on whipping anyone who gets in their way with PC and other harsh words.
I’m sure anyone here would think that one of the three main requirements of becoming President would hold so much weight that it would be one of the first things covered and verified in our political process. That it is not, and has to be brought to light by a citizen, shows just how close we are to throwing that piece of paper in the garbage. Why even bother with the preservation of the document, when we don’t do the same with the ideas written down on it.
It’s more than a shame.
