Regarding the recent economic summit, I've heard on talk radio that president Bush favors the creation of an international body of economic regulators to be called the "College of Supervisors." This comes in the same breath as he admonished everyone not to impose too much government on economies.
Thoughts?
Sounds creepy. Like “Council of Guardians” or such. Or like Obama.
Check on his granddaddy’s doings.
Bush is an idiot. At this point, who cares what he says. He’s trying to save the legacy and institute daddy’s new world order thinking in the run-up to the takeover of the Community Party of America and General-Secretary Hussein Obama.
Is this like the ‘Council of Elders’ that someone proposed earlier?
I’m sure there are some FReepers who remember crystal clear the time George H.W. Bush said “New World Order” in a speech. There was a general uproar, people demanding exactly what that meant. I don’t believe it was mentioned after that.
Right thinking people’s ears are fine-tuned to that phrase.

It will be rather like a county board of supervisors but on a larger scale.

Anyone who believes that either party serves the good of this Nation just hasn't been doing much reading. All American "leaders" are pushing our Nation toward global governance. This is very clear to those who watch the trends.

Actually he had done much to move the new world order forward. A bad man yes. An idiot, no.
Just like we heard James Baker only once state the first Gulf war was about oil. After he got taken to the woodshed it was always about restoring Kuwaiti freedom, freedom for the Kuwaiti royal oppressors.

It is all part of the same methodology, advanced by the same people, and all having the same goal: world domination under the boot of Global Communism.
You have only three classes of people:

George Soros, Maurice Strong, Vladimir Putin, Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, and that nutcase from Iran are examples of the first class, with ideological exceptions allowed for Islamic homicidal tendencies that hope to kill everyone everywhere, including themselves;
President G.W. Bush, President-elect Barak Obama, the Democratic Party and the GOP all belong in the second category.
The average Joe Six-Pack stands in the third, otherwise known as the “Kill Box”
I know some, and perhaps many, here on FR disagree with my assessment; and let this be so, for it is my mere opinion. However, I think… and sense in my heart… that we are arrived at some dark crossroad such the like as we have never known prior in human history, since the incarnation of Christ on Earth.
I fear for more than my country. Events are meeting in a confluence not coincidental by any measure. We witness the machinations of cold calculating intellects, the plans of men, whose Machiavellian egos look with murderous contempt upon all other humanity, thinking their fellow beings of little more worth than insects.
Time is short. We are upon midnight.
Whatever. A bunch of people who never made a real sale, never had a real job, never followed leads, good or bad, never were in the army, always lived gratuitously and utopian, now pretending to be the business messiahs of the world.
Bush knows nothing about how the economy works. If he did he would have not pushed for a bailout.

You are correct. It was "The Trilateral Commission" (Trilaterals Over Washington) that evolved into the "Council on Foreign Relations" [CFR].
