The offspring of a naturalized citizen IS a natural-born citizen, but the child of a foreign national is not.
BO's father was African, his stepfather [who formally adopted him] was from Indonesia, and BO spent several years there.
Indonesia doesn't recognize dual citizenship, and the US at the time didn't recognize dual citizenship with Indonesia.

It clearly does have some merit; Senator Obama recently admitted for the first time that he was a dual citizen of Kenya. That startling revelation legitimately calls into question his exact citizenship status.
It is incumbent that he produce all birth records, both from the state and from the hospital, and exact, comprehensive information on his citizenship or visa status during his sojourn in Indonesia; he also must clearly give all of his passport records, including any creation records, renewals, expirations, and lists of times that such passports were used.
Until he does show that he is constitutionally eligible to serve in the office of the President of the United States, I will not personally accord him the title. These sorts of questions, all of which could be cleared up in a few minutes by Senator Obama, cannot be left lingering over any presidency.

If I size him up correctly he wants the presidency more than he wants his own children. Now that he has won the popular vote, poor grades, questionable or unknown parentage won’t cost him the office. He has the prize within reach and any shame associated with the circumstances of his birth is only temporary.
The possibility that there is nothing to hide still exists, but why play such a game of chicken? If he pulls out a valid birth certificate and there never was any problem to start with, then his judgement is demonstrated to be exceptionally bad about relatively trivial things. How much worse would it be in the national and international arenas?
Only disqualifying information on the real birth certificate, such as birth in Kenya, would seem to be worth protecting like this.
I guess she served his/their purpose.

I wouldn't push that too far. Many people choose to be cremated *before* any service is held. Plus, a properly embalmed body will last a long time.

I am wondering something. When you apply for a passport, you have to produce a certified copy of your birth certificate. Does the passport office keep this birth ceertifcate? Does he have a U.S. passport? Maybe the passport office can solve this mystery.
You know I was going to say "sure", but now I'm not so sure. You do have to provide date and place of birth, but it's been so long since I've had anything but a periodic "reinvestigation", I don't remember if you have to provide certified copies of the actual document. (Military have to provide one for other purposes though).
However the standard form 86 that an applicant for a clearance does contain the following statements:

But Presidents don't need no steenking security clearance. Neither do elected members of Congress. Their staffs all do though. That's going to be a beeg problem for The One. How many of "his folks" can pass such a security background investigation? Of course once he's in office, he can order the detailed requirements waived on a case by case basis. The transition team will however need to undergo "expedited"/"priority" investigations, since a normal investigation takes way longer than the time until January 20th.
His Kenyan Granny says she witnessed The One’s birth in Kenya. I believe her. He is not eligible to be President. Why has he not produced the COLB stating he is a natural born American citizen? He does not have one. He is an arrogant SOB. Above the law. No respect for The Constitution or love for America. He even picked a wife who hates America. sigh.
They didn't bother taking the tests at all....and voila!....they got their security clearance immediately.

In addition to the Constitutional problem there is little logistical problem with that plan. Congress sets their salaries, not us. There's no mechanism for us to do so, since there is no iniative and referendum at the federal level. Congress is very firmly in control of the Democrat party and so that route is closed, and it's the only one.
AFAIK, it hasn't been held yet. Not the normal way, but also not that unusual either these days. It would be interesting to know if he made it to his grandfather's funeral back in '92 or his mother's in '95.

I don’t think there’s been a funeral. I read that there’s just going to be a memorial service, but not until January, so it won’t interfere with events that “The One” cares about.
