one thing about this is the african americans dont waist a whole lot of time being politicaly correct. it wont take very much in your face push back from them to silence the gays. Familys are having a hard enough time without the added confusion of gay marriage. Marriage is between a man and a woman. if gays want more then they need to create another name for it.
Is anyone keeping a tab on this. The problem the past eight years between Conservatives is being continuously shoved down our throats, we need to keep records of this for 2010 and 2012.
And to think this is all about wanting approval from straights. Fact is, most of the practical benefits of marriage can be had by gay couples without getting “married.” But they insist on having the lifestyle normailized in society so as to be accepted as the same as straights. And to do this they risk all the advancments in gay rights they have attained in recent decades by pissing people off over their insistence on redfining thousands of years of traditional marriage.
The fact is, gay marriage will never take hold in the U.S. to any great extent, in fact, it is at its peak right now and will be heading backwards as the US population demographics move away from whites. Gays need to understand this, quit while they are still ahead, and enjoy the freedom they have now. It may not last much more than a few more decades.
