FReep this Digg!!!

(We need a FReeper to stepup and FReep the Vote over at Buzz. Any takers???)

Post your own links exposing ObamaNation on Digg, Buzz, Reddit, etc. Saturate these boards. They're massive and they are crawling with independents. And don't post them all in one category, like politics or elections. Finally, repost your links on FR to we can put a protective FReep around them :o)

For examples of how to do this, see my history.

Let's use our combined FReeperPower to FREEP THE VOTE!!!

I’d rather here that Ohio and Pennsylvaina were abuzz about the coal issue. W. VA. was already a lock for McCain.

I wonder how long conservatives sat on this one? If a long time, a great strategy! It gives Obama very little time to wind up his spin machine!

BO made the comments last January but the Drive By media didn't report it.
This is called "selective reporting."

You think they deliberately waited til the final weekend for this? If it works I will laud McCain for being one of the best strategists of all time. I have to wonder if it wouldn’t have worked better though if they had been pushing the issue during all that early voting, esp. in OH.

There has been so much selective reporting this election cycle. Good thing for youtube and alternative sources.

It was a calculated risk, IMO. Breaking it any earlier, Obama would have looked right into the camera and lied through his teeth. The people would have bought it just as they are buying his tax cuts lies. Ny now, it would be old news that he scoffs at.

Dugg it.

How come you don’t start a ping-list for these and put me on it?

I totally agree. I think McCain’s strategy was to get in striking distance of PA and then unleash the hounds on this coal statement. McCain knows most close elections are won in the last 72 hours.

It is all over when Obama loses PA.

I went to the websites of newspapers in coal country. Most of them must be in the tank for Obama because they seem to be ignoring this story. Also, most of them have pics of Obama on their front page. Barf.

Obama:
"So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted."

Calls and e-mails to West Virginia Obama campaign officials seeking a response for this story were not returned. But according to ABC News, an Obama spokesperson said the comments were taken out of context.

"The line they pulled out is in the context of cap and trade program," the spokesperson said. "The point Obama is making is that we need to transition from coal burning power plants built with old technology to plants built with advanced technologies -- and that is exactly the action that will be incentivized under a cap and trade program."

Uh, spokesperson, how is that a context fault??? WTF does context have to do with what was said? Ah, that must be your knee jerking, using standard play #2 in the universal spin book.

So true! A lot of people were down on McCain after the Palin surprise wore off. At that time, McCain did not always have a coherent message. These days, however, he is energized and focused. His team has been doing a great job given their limited resources since the last debate!

AGREED, and I think you can already see the Pundit-class starting to rehearse their story...

(a) Murtha was right! Western PA is KKK Kountry... a bunch of hillybillies covered in coal dust who just weren’t “ready” for a Black President
(b)Obama was right! People in Western PA cling bitterly to the bible and their guns and can’t think straight.
(c) BIDEN DID THIS TO US!!!! He has been a secret HRC spy the whole time!
(d) McCain/Palin lied about the Messiah and the infidels believed the lies.

I hope they are running ads in coal states. I am sure Rush and Hannity will be pushing it.

I am in FL and we have no coal but we have powerplants that use a bit. Plus our utility buys power from out of state from coal plants.

The mix of power sources keeps our electricity costs down. Take away coal and everyone nationwide will pay more.

This will kill jobs, drive people electricity costs up and is bad for th economy.

The Coal Miners have definitely endorsed Obama. They also live under the false fear that John McCain will take away their Union.

Monday, Sept 29...Blacksville #2 Mine Idle After 440 Workers Stay Home

UMWA Workers Took Memorial Day in Protest BLACKSVILLE -- "Coal production at a mine in Monongalia County came to a halt today when every union miner stayed home, as part of a political protest.

It was an idle day Monday at the Blacksville #2 Mine.

More than 440 workers who are members of the United Mine Workers of America took what's called a Memorial Day instead of going to work.

Union officials say they took the day to protest after a film crew from the National Rifle Assocation showed up at the Consol mine last week to interview union workers.

They say the crew tried to get union coal miners to speak out against Barack Obama.

The UMWA has endorsed the democratic presidential nominee.

"This was a surprise visit," explained VP Local 1702, Safety Chairman Eric Greathouse, "and a lot of the miners felt this was a direct slap in the face of the union because they were trying to coerce our people into saying things against Barack Obama."

"Consol doesn't let anybody on their property - never," said Safety Committee Member Mark Dorsey, "And for them to let the NRA come on the property and solicit our membership was totally uncalled for. We made our endorsement to our political process and we didn't bother them and they shouldn't be harassing our membership over this."

The workers will return to work at 12:01 Tuesday morning.

A spokesperson for Consol said the company is not issuing any comment on the day."
