Seattle-area Newpaper Publishes Photos and Addresses of Republicans

It seems like the liberals in this country show more and more how much they hate privacy. A Seattle newspaper, The Stranger, has decided it has the authority to take pictures of homes in the Seattle area with Republican yard signs, publish the addresses of the houses, and talk about how “scary” and “moronic” the people in the houses must be.

This is an utmost invasion of privacy. To take pictures of homes and publish their addresses is a form of political intimidation which undermines the first amendment and borders on unhealthy stalking.

Of course, all of this information is public record. Anyone can see the homes from the street and notice their addresses. But tho actually compile and publish the information is a form of intimidation not unlike the intimidation the mafia puts on small businesses for “protection” money.

Oh I don't know about that. It seems they've been very concerned about protecting the privacy of suspected terrorists.

"talk about how “scary” and “moronic” the people in the houses must be."

This will expand to include Christians and all others who don't conform to the dictates of the Party.

All the while claiming those their righteously persecuting are the "fascists".

The media has succeeded in shielding Barack Obama from journalistic scrutiny. It thereby irrevocably destroyed its own reputation and forfeited the trust that generations of others had so carefully acquired. And it will never again be trusted to offer candid and nonpartisan coverage of presidential candidates.

Worse still, the suicide of both print and electronic journalism has ensured that, should Barack Obama be elected president, the public will only then learn what they should have known far earlier about their commander-in-chief — but in circumstances and from sources they may well regret.

A clear case of voter intimidation. I believe that is against the law.

No, they love privacy when they want to get rid of an inconvenient child.

“Do you have what it takes to drive a stake through the heart of zombie Dino Rossi or blast a shotgun into the chest of zombie Dave Reichert or fight off the reanimated ashes of Steve Litzow, swirling out of that terrifying urn? “

Shotgun into the chest? Are they kidding? This is a threat, plain and simple. If I were this Rossi guy I would take that VERY serious.

The pop-left is an inherently totalitarian system, built around-indeed, dedicated to, the authority of the chosen celebrity or leader and the sanctity of that idol’s will.

Those of us who endured the wrath of the Dixie Chickistas a couple of years ago are very familiar with this. From the band-manager who threatened to get his gun and start killing people who criticized the chicks to the idiot who wrote a letter to the editor misquoting a previous letter that was still there for all to see, these people are literally fascists.

Btw, I will be happy to share the names of both of these people with anyone who e-mails and asks for them.

When I ponder where this action comes from, I really have to pause and reflect. This is a new step beyond anything that has been seen in the US, at any time I can recall.

It isn’t “news” that anyone who has anything going in their lives [other than unfocused hate that could potentially be focused as a result of the article] could give a crap about.

It’s perfectly evident that someone who has a McC sign on their lawn is a McC supporter...

But all that being not enough, now we have to publish a list both of the addresses and the names of McC supporters. Perhaps so they can be “systematically” targetted..?

So, the purpose is either 1: to try to shame or defame the occupants. 2: To invite electioneering 3: to invite thuggery, perhaps vandalism, perhaps violence. Of course, any instances of [3] will be attributed to random acts of ....whomever....

Chilling.

Sooner or later there will civil unrest. Maybe as early as Tuesday, but people are going to get their belly full of these hate-filled brats one day and it’s going to hit the fan.

Sean Hannity summed it up when he said that journalism in America died in 2008 - I think it died earlier than that ... I went to the Lincoln library in Springfield, Ill and saw the print media of his day just really trashing him over the war .... then you look at Nixon and Reagan era then into the Bush’s administration .. it got more hateful and vitriolic as time went on ... I get my news on the Internet. I don’t even watch local stuff ....

I love the way you expressed that!

1987 TV Ad - perfect pop-culture metaphor for the tough conservative in the hostile environment vs. the coddled and babied liberal surrounded by soothing environs.

Short ode to the situation today.
