Well, it's good news for McCain in Missouri and Georgia (these are very similar poll numbers in Georgia that President Bush had shortly before the 2000 election).

However, they're not good numbers in Iowa. But being up a point in Missouri this close before the election is very good news for John McCain.

Iowa’s full of a bunch of liberal farmers living subsidies. Of course they vote democrat. Bush always lost Iowa. No biggie.

Yeah, I really don’t understand what changes when you cross the Missouri border into Iowa. Northern Missouri is quite conservative, after all, it’s the two big cities that go Democrat.

Good to see MO come back in line. Let’s hope we can overcome the voter fraud and AA vote in St. Louis and Kansas City.

If we win Missouri, I don’t think we’ll have to worry about a President Obama. I think they’re usually a good bellwether for the rest of the country.

why has McCain spent so much time in IA then? Was he hoping Palin would help bring out the social conservatives in large numbers? Even Bush barely won this state in 2004. It is most likely blue this time around.

McCain needs to forget about Iowa. Way too much time there for those agribusiness welfare addicts.

Bush won Iowa in 2004 and barely lost to Gore in 2000.

We’ll due to the Republicans desire to end federal corn subsidies because of record corn profits generated by the ethanol industry, I can understand this.

The farmers in Iowa have grown attached to their free money.

Greed is not always good.

Amazing. Well, now we see why politicians have been sucking up to Iowa forever. McCain deserves credit for not doing the same. Looks like he's gonna pay for it.

Shame on Iowa.
