Rush Limbaugh said Colin Powell's decision to get behind Barack Obama appeared to be very much tied to Obama's status as the first African-American with a chance to become president.
"Secretary Powell says his endorsement is not about race," Limbaugh wrote in an e-mail. "OK, fine. I am now researching his past endorsements to see if I can find all the inexperienced, very liberal, white candidates he has endorsed. I'll let you know what I come up with."
As for Powell's statement of concern this morning about the sort of Supreme Court justices a President McCain might appoint, Limbaugh wrote: "I was also unaware of his dislike for John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy and Antonin Scalia. I guess he also regrets Reagan and Bush making him a four-star [general] and secretary of state and appointing his son to head the FCC. Yes, let's hear it for transformational figures."

One half-black liberal RINO endorses a half-black socialist. News? Yawn.
LOL Of course, there are none. Powell is simply one of the 95% of black vote that 0 is getting because of the race factor.(oh, I know that doesn’t sound as academic as the Bradley effect, but no one dares give this a name for fear of being called a racist)
“one dares give this a name for fear of being called a racist”
...i’ll give a try: The Black Racist Vote
...come and get me obama
Powell'll probably offer up some excuse that its ok for him to attack Palin with baseless speculation, but it's not ok for Republicans to use their First Amendment rights to discuss 0bama's Muslim past or lack of experience.
where is the little boy....THAT’S RACIST!
A variant...
Unpopular truth: Racism is as prevalent in the Black community as it used to be in the White community..
I’m dissapointed in Powell. As a former general,i would assume(?)Powell would have asked himself before endorsing Obama-who will be stronger on defense-Obama or McCain?Which candidate is more qualified and experienced in the (critical)area of military affairs? Is that relevant to Collin? It certainly is to me.Dims are big supporters of spending on social programs. While at the same time quite content to cut spending on the military and nat’l defense.
Absolutely no respect here for Mr. Powell. He has just “pulled an Oprah.”
Waits to see who’s gonna win—angling for a job. An absolute ingrate and backstabber.
Ditto to that
Always thought Powell was a RINO.
“I think the chances of Powell suddenly changing to the Democrat Party are rather good - he may even time it before the election in order to do the most damage to Republicans.”
I think Powell will stay Republican. He and the drive-bys get a lot of mileage out of it. There are plenty of RINOs that are nothing but tokens that are used to discredit real conservatives.
appointing his son to head the FCC
Powell supports the Wealth Spreader, good thing his kid is not in the Federal Reserve
So true.
Dang, I’m at Rush Lake in the land of dial up today. I can’t get Detroit WCHB AM 1200 “urban talk” this morning because it doesn’t upload to dial-up. I’m sure if I could listen they will be high fivin’ all over the racist Mildred Gaddis program this morning. Anyone who wants to get a clear picture of the thoughts and plans the ahyphenas have for the future regarding the Maobama ascendency should tune in 6:00-10:00 AM Eastern or an eye opener.
There he is...the cutie!
Wow, what a powerful endorsement this is! It will probably result in a lot of blacks voting for Obama./sarc off
