A photo exhibit featuring partners in same-sex relationships will be on display beginning Sunday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1609 University Ave. An open house will be held Sunday from 1-3 p.m., and the exhibit will be on display at the church for one week.
The exhibit, titled "Shall Not Be Recognized," was created by Jeff Pearcy and Will Fellows in response to the passage of the 2006 marriage amendment in Wisconsin that does not legally recognize same-sex relationships. The display includes 30 photographs of couples who have been together for seven to 50 years.
"In recent years, the battle surrounding legal recognition of same-sex marriages and civil unions have grabbed headlines," Fellows said in a statement. "Voices from the political and religious arenas have had their say. Often lost in the debate have been the voices of same-sex couples themselves."

I don’t know Chode. The thing is who here is willing to stand up and say “this is wrong” in the church? That takes guts. It all starts with the first person to stand up. If no one stand up THEN it never ends.
Who wants to take me to this church and give me a whip? I will stand up?

Of course, better to give up the sin, but we know how likely that is to happen. There has to be a revolution in peoples' hearts.

I lived in a place called Quincy in MA.
I’m sure most of you know that two of our presidents came form this city and are buried there.
Well the church in the center of town is very old and historic, so imagine my disgust driving through the center of Quincy when I see a homo rainbow flag flying form this beautiful church
the homo’s had took the church over and have a big massive sign on it saying something like marriage doesn’t discriminate or some nonsense like that.
Now imagine the outcry from homos and liberal if a normal proper church had a big political sign on it.
I bet not once do they ever talk about God or Jesus but talk about spreading their filthy sexual views onto the people.
What was sad that I talked to a couple of elderly folk and told them all of this.
They said are you sure those rainbow flags are for homosexuals and was convinced that homo’s were not taking over the Church’s for their agenda.
They were convinced that no one would let homo’s take over this old historical church either

It didn’t take me twenty years like Obama to LEAVE a church that winked at homosexuality. This preacher of darkness went through the Bible and listed verses that condemend it and then ended his “sermon” with in his OPINION, we should write letters to our poltical representatives to encourgae the passing of “civil unions”. I kid you not. I could hardly believe it.
The kids were there and so were my parents. I could have died. Luckily most kids didn’t understand what he as saying and the glaring hypocrisy of his OPINION contrasted to God’s Word. We never went back. I was so stunned that I just sat there. We should have just walked out.
Yeah, Obama AGREES with his minister of darkness and WHY he continued to attend for twenty years. EVen if he didn’t hear ALL his preachings - people TALK. He AGREED with his minister, so he STAYED. No, he’s not like a “funny old uncle”. That minister is EVIL.
I got my wife who is born and bred out of MA because of the way the politics is and how the homosexuals are taking over the state.
I know of a couple of other people too who have moved out to NH and know of 4 other couples trying to get to NH as well.
ALL are fed up with being ripped off and having homosexuals in their face, at school, the media infact everywhere you go.

We went up there to visit the mother in law last year and stopped off at a public toilets on 128 near blue hills, we pulled up and saw 3 men standing outside the toilets, as we started getting the kids out we saw another car pull up and a man get out, go inside the toilets with two other men.
I said wait here to my wife and started to walk up to the toilet not really knowing what was going on and then another man went up to another man standing outside the toilet and said hey you want some action.
I nearly puked and yes I did say something, walked back to the car and told my family that we have to wait till the next exit for the kids to go to the bathroom
They are sick and places like Lexington where they forced 5 years olds to read a book called the king and the king have been taken over .
Blue hills have closed down at night because of the homosexuals, dog parks, public toilets etc.
I would urge every republican and conservative to get out now, if you want to be near family move to NH other wise get to VA,NC,NM,Az,FL and keep those states red plus let your kids grow up without interference of the gaystapo
do not stay in MA RI,CT,VT and give your money to liberal states or the liberal causes which are being pushed there.
I dream of a day when we can move out. KY is where I would love to go. KY is under assault by the libs who move there with the sole purpose of turning it blue. They need more conservatives. TN is a place where the same thing has been going on for years.

We moved to north Florida and helped to get the homosexuals marriage amendment on the ballot(we’re not activists or anything like that but we do want out children to grow up in a traditional place)
My mother in law is sick and will not move south so my wife wants to go back north.
I said we will but only to NH no where else as MA will never get any money from me anymore.
KY and east TN is beautiful, especially the smokies.
If my children were grown up I would move there as well but I have to think of the children.
I don’t want the diversity I see no reason why I should.
I moved from England because I wanted the American way of life so why should I live with folks who hate this country, who want to change it and who do not speak English/American or who have different cultures to here.
I have lived around the world so if I want to see a culture I will visit that country
I truly believe that all republicans and conservatives need to get pout of liberal land if is too far gone to change it, NH has not turned yet but I hope they do not get the homo marriage forced unto them.
We need to make a stand for our future I believe and MA, CT,RI,VT has gone now sadly.
The liberals are not trying to get VA changes and are heading south from the north east

Thanks for you presonal experiences. Horrible and typical. Happens in other states, too - on I-5 in California they had to close down a lot of rest areas. Beaches I used to go to and take my kids to years ago have turned into pervert orgy stations.

My parents moved to KY 20 years or more, ago. 3 Brothers soon followed. We have a very large family, so a lot of us are still in the CT, MA area. If my son were ready to move south, I would go tomorrow. But to western KY LOL. I really love it there. People are neighborly, have manners, and the govt. pretty much leaves you alone. All stuff that is foreign to the NE now. It is sad, and there is a part of me that feel we shouldn't abandon ANY state in the US to these depraved individuals and policies. But with the PC police on duty 24/7 it is getting increasingly hard to fight it. Their activists are everywhere, and they are increasingly bitter and deranged in their activism. Poor hubby works in a hospital where the atmosphere wreaks from it.
We pray, and dream of a day we can escape it. In the meantime, we do what we can to keep it out of our own lives.
Well, we’re another day closer.

Hopefully here in Florida we get the marriage amendment done here this year
