So the McCain camp is trying to raise doubts about Barack Obama -- even though the Illinois senator has been on the national stage for four years and has been under the presidential campaign microscope for the last 20 months. They seem to have no qualms appealing to the cultural fears of their agitated, and now energized, base by practically branding Obama as un-American or anti-American. And this is eliciting an ugliness at McCain-Palin events that is justifiably raising alarms that some nut job is going to act on the Republican ticket's cynical campaigning.
For two days now, there have been stories about boisterous McCain-Palin supporters screaming inflammatory words at the very mention of Obama's name. Words like "terrorist" and "Kill him!" and "treason." And at no point has McCain or Palin called on those folks and others who would imitate them to stop. It reminds me of McCain's laughing response, during the primaries, when a South Carolina supporter asked, in reference to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, "How do we beat the bitch?"

Yes, he’s been “on the stage” for four years.
And you’ve managed to ignore his past for four years . . .and counting.
Notice that they didn’t mention all of Obama’s associates. Wonder why? One thing that comes out is that none of this information about Obama is made up.....it’s all fact. What have they got that goes against McCain? Not much.

If you have them “upset” then your formula is definitely working. The great thing about the McCain campaign is they are doing this with enough time for people to make up their minds and remember it. If it would have been too early people would have forgotten about it and if they would have done it 2 weeks from now it would be too late.
Keep going McCain and since you are a maverick you don’t need any friends in the Senate or the press corp.

Exactly what “microscope” has Obama been under? One like Sarah Palin has been under or one that has given him a pass for Ayers, Wright, ACORN, his flip-flopping on public campaign financing, his shifting positions on other issues, his liberal voting record, his lack of experience, and so on? If Obama had been under a “microscope”, he wouldn’t be the nominee.

Compare and contrast to the treatment of Gov. Palin or Pres. Bush. These people are no one to preach. And the radical ties are everywhere around Obama. Not so easy to just brush that off though they are really trying because it goes to the heart of who their candidate is and it is sinister. The media are showing themselves having an agenda and an open enemy to this country and it’s traditions. The hatred and outright lies they’ve pushed makes this all the more obscene and disingenuous.
