CLEVELAND - A man at the center of a voter-registration scandal told The Post yesterday he was given cash and cigarettes by aggressive ACORN activists in exchange for registering an astonishing 72 times, in apparent violation of Ohio laws.
"Sometimes, they come up and bribe me with a cigarette, or they'll give me a dollar to sign up," said Freddie Johnson, 19, who filled out 72 separate voter-registration cards over an 18-month period at the behest of the left-leaning Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.
"The ACORN people are everywhere, looking to sign people up. I tell them I am already registered. The girl said, 'You are?' I say, 'Yup,' and then they say, 'Can you just sign up again?' " he said.
Johnson used the same information on all of his registration cards, and officials say they usually catch and toss out duplicate registrations. But the practice sparks fear that some multiple registrants could provide different information and vote more than once by absentee ballot.
ACORN is under investigation in Ohio and at least eight other states - including Missouri, where the FBI said it's planning to look into potential voter fraud - for over-the-top efforts to get as many names as possible on the voter rolls regardless of whether a person is registered or eligible

At the heart of this is the stated goal of ACORN to register record numbers of voters; meeting this goal will gain them more love-offerings in the form of donations and grow their movement.
Not even the dull-est ARD could think these derelicts and street bums will actually cast multiple votes.
What’s truly incredible is that they haven’t been shut down by the state attorneys general nationwide for their blatant violations of election law.

I would like to add or spell out for the naive or those who haven’t thought about this before ...
Of course, the dims/ACORN don’t expect this guy to actually vote 72 times. They will have others or a machine to do that for him. They just don’t want to end up with 10,000 votes when only 5,700 people are even registered in that town or county or whatever.

Bush and John Ashcroft should have done something about this in 2001. There was mass fraud in 2000 and nothing was done because Bush barely won. There was mass fraud in 2004 and nothing was done because Bush barely won. Now it’s too late to do anything about it. Obama will be allowed to steal the election.

At any rate, do what you can. Nice, kind, polite, phone harassment or tying up their phone lines on election day with stupid questions will work just as well, from the warm safety and comfort of your very own living room--to keep them from turning out masses of phony voters for Obama on election day. There are ways to undermine them, if we all take and execute a role. WE CAN CHANGE HISTORY. WE CAN TURN THE TIDE.
