The Hustler founder has made an X-rated movie using an adult-film actress who resembles the governor of Alaska.
Flynt's team had posted an anonymous advert on the website Craigslist just days after Mrs Palin took the Republican convention by storm last month.
The ad read: "Looking for a Sarah Palin look-alike for an adult film to be shot in the next 10 days."
The actress would be paid $3,000 (£1,700) for the part.
Flynt's spokesman confirmed to the New York Daily News that the film had been shot, but he would not yet reveal the title.
Bloggers have already suggested various titles such as "Northern XXXposure" and "Riding Pipeline"
Flynt, who suffers from bipolar disorder and is paralysed from the waist down after an assassination attempt, has run for public office in the past and sees himself as a champion of freedom of speech.
In 1996, a film based on his life, titled The People vs. Larry Flynt, starring Woody Harrelson, was released.
Mrs Palin's spokesman was unavailable for comment.
The Alaskan governor, 44, delivered a confident performance in her much-anticipated vice-presidential debate with Senator Joe Biden.

I think Flynt’s empire isn’t exactly making tons of cash. The entire magazine market is dwindling and he can’t compete with the overseas porn market. This guy is lucky to make a million a year profit...my humble opinion.

To me making such a spoof about a mom with 5 kids just seems truly crass even for Larry Flynt.
Many liberals seem to suffer from that.

I don’t think Larry would need to find a Barney Frank look-a-like... he could get the real thing for dirt cheap. Or he could just do an internet search. I’m sure if one knows where to look, one could find enough video of Frank doing what Frank does to fill a multi-part Ken Burns documentary.
