I heard that Bill Nelson (D-FL) was leaning AGAINST the bill, but I can't confirm it. Therefore, he is not included in the list.

In times when decent folk ran Washington, Dodd would already be wearing tar and feathers

Why am I not surprised to learn that Lugar is voting for this big government BS. The major parties stink.

McCain votes No and there is little strategic risk and potentially much to gain

McCain votes Yes and there is major strategic risk and little to gain.

Congressional Approval from Real Clear Politics:

Polling Data
Poll Date Approve Disapprove Spread
RCP Average 09/19 - 09/25 17.8 75.3 -57.5
GW/Battleground 09/21 - 09/25 17 77 -60
FOX News 09/22 - 09/23 17 73 -56
NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl 09/19 - 09/22 15 73 -58
CNN/OpinionResearch 09/19 - 09/21 22 78 -56

An average 17.8 approval rating and we’re supposed to trust THESE idiots with a “rescue package”?

Outrageous.

>>McCain votes No and there is little strategic risk and potentially much to gain<<

Except that he made a public statement urging senators to vote YES.

Thune is voting yes. You can probably count Lindsay Graham as a yes vote also.

McCain looks older and tireder than Bush when he talks about this. I think they both know something they are not telling the public. Maybe not even the Congress

If McCain votes for this (he will) then people are just going to have to look deep into the souls of the two candidates and vote for the man whose core values they prefer

I think McCain would lay down his life for this country. I never expect Obama would.

From the Burlington Free Press: (app. 12:00 pm CT)

Leahy undecided at this point since "bill's language has not yet been finalized".

Sanders will vote against the bailout plan if his amendment fails. His amendment would add a 10% surcharge on individuals who make more than $500,000 and couples who make more than $1,000,000 annually.
