Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra.
"You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig."
"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink."
"We've had enough of the same old thing."
The crowd apparently took the "lipstick" line as a reference to Palin, who described the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull in a single word: "lipstick."
Thank God.
Fact is, this is what I have been praying. I have been praying that Obama would be unable to keep up his deceptions, that the facade would fall. I prayed that the thing he most held pride in, his speech, would be what ruins him. And I have prayed over and over, that the enemies of McCain and Palin, would hang on the gallows they built for McCain and Palin. That the curses the dems throw, would land on their own heads.
These are the days like the days of Esther.
Praise the Lord, I see it happening. Thank You Jesus.

He thought he could say that. and then use McCain calling Hillary Clintons new healthcare plan “same pig in lipstick”. Nobody in their right mind would have thought that McCain was talking about Hillary personally.
but after the convention in Minneapolis. and Sarahs lipstick comment. it will not work.
They do not realize that Chicago gutter politics do not work in the towns in between Columbus, Pittsburgh and Charleston.

His comments prove that the viciousness of Obama’s campaign comes from Obama himself.
Perhaps it's time to donate a slice of bacon to the Obambi campaign. Imagine a pile of envelops, each with a thin slice of bacon inside. Hate to waste good bacon, though.
Your post made me think of the movie, ‘Galaxy Quest”...where they are trying to beam out a “pig beast” and the alien says, “it’s inside out, and it exploded”...then we see it’s guts all over the people...

The “lipstick” comment is big news on Drudge. The fish part is even more vile.

That would be a great response! I’m in favor of a laugh it off one liner by her. It would be a classic!
Exactly. It’s only a few days since Palin “owned” that metaphor. We’re all still hearing it in her stump speeches. We equate lipstick with the woman on the ticket he was talking about.
Whereas Hillary’s health care plan...at the time it was a common expression not particularly linkable to Hillary who is not especially feminine, who downplays that aspect of herself whenever possible, and who hadn’t used “lipstick” to relate people to herself in a recent and much-quoted speech.
