” Divorce allegations do not require ANY standard of proof to be in the record.”

Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner!

My ex’s nasty attorney put all kinds of spurious allegations in the divorce papers when they counter-filed on me. Not a lick of truth to it but from reading it you’d think I was John Edwards, Bill Clinton, Jesse Jackson and Don Juan all rolled into one. The day before deposition the ex caved and agreed to everything I asked for.

Palin ? An Affair?

I don't care whether she did or not.

She has what it takes to be a good Vice president.

Thats all I care about.

The attempt to put conservatives back to sleep is a futile effort now by the MSM.

Affairs are affairs.

If it happened , who gives a crap?

She is with her hubby and family now, and thats all that matters to me.

No, they don’t know that. They are not used to seeing these very special children because they think they should all be aborted. Libs are self-centered, lazy intellectuals who cannot comprehend unconditional love.

Besides the fact that Downs sydrome babies have eyes like that, Todd Palin is half eskimo. Love your "handle" by the way. Big fan of Tancred Prince of Galilee Regent of Antioch

It could actually be that there is some embarrassing information about THE MAN which might be embarrassing to HIM even if Palin is NOT involved.

I imagine that he really doesn’t want to have his divorce records broadcast around the world, even *if* it had absolutely nothing to do with Palin...

I looked at this docket. It is an absolutely straightforward, agreed divorce. There appear to be no declarations filed (which is how someone might make an allegation that my husband cheated on me with so and so). So, there appears to be absolutely nothing of any potential political relevance in this file in any event.

Thanks for the information. Just a fishing expedition.

It sounds like Deborah Richter may have been cheating on her husband - and that the cheating man was on Palin's staff and subsequently fired.

Here's the link: http://www.crosscut.com/alaska/17265/Despite+'Troopergate'+and+other+issues%2C+huge+popularity+in+Alaska/

And here's the relevant part of the article:

"In July 2007, Palin fired her legislative liaison, John Bitney, after learning he had been sexually involved with Deborah Richter, the wife of a good friend of Todd Palin. Richter, also from Wasilla, where the governor had been mayor, was appointed as director of the Permanent Fund Dividend Division after Palin's election. She was not sanctioned and remains in her job as manager of the agency that sends the annual checks from oil revenue to Alaska residents each fall."

Hey MSM, at this point in time, I wouldn’t care if she boinked everyone from Juneau to Anchorage. I ain’t voting for Obama. Nor will I stay home. Got it?

You are on notice MSM. You are trashy and we do not like you.

That does sound strange. Why would he suddenly want them sealed?

Come on don't be a Toto head. If the jealous X-Wife accuses this guy of having an affair with Sarah Plain, the media will run wild with it, even though it is the goof ball imagination of some deranged dissed x-wife.

People, the request to seal the documents was made pro per.

Some states call that pro se. Alaska pro per. It means handling one’s own case. No lawyer.

If McCain’s campaign was on this and moved to get this document sealed, no way in hell they would have done it without a lawyer.

This is clean.

Surely if there were any dirt there, it would have come out in her run for governor. And I thought Alaska was a no-fault divorce state? If so, no reason has to be stated - just file the papers, file the lists of assets and liabilities, work out custody, get it approved by the court, and it’s done.

Are you serious? Some people may not enjoy seeing the most personal aspects of their life used as fuel for the 24 hour news cycle.

I can't understand why they weren't sealed at the time the divorce was granted.

I bet McCain and company are just waiting for another attack on Palin(affair wise) and this will be printed, maybe in an ad. The MSM will look like the Obama attack dogs they really are.

The way I view Palin and these rumors is this: the woman has been involved in local politics her entire career. And her brand of local politics is in an “everybody knows everybody else’s business” atmosphere. If there were anything to all the rumors and inuendos, wouldn’t the local officials and former governor she was running against have already used it when she campaigned for the governor’s seat.
