"These fluctuations may be caused by the stress of intellectual work, or also reflect a biological adaptation during glucose combustion," Jean-Philippe Chaput, lead author of the study said.

Ok, I just lost 2 pounds after reading that... is I stupid?

Let me have about me men who are fat; sleek headed men who sleep at night. Yon Cassius has a lean and hungry look. He thinks too much

Of course, this study doesn’t include people who can think on their feet. :P

This has always been true of me in my life! I have had a lot of jobs and roles in my life and I noticed the same thing.

The brain probably uses essential nutrients that we have not yet identified. High activity in the brain and depletion of these nutrients should result in a craving for food.

This craving happens with all identified nutrients. Calories are not the body’s only requirement. Eating fresh, vitamin rich food allowed me to not feel hungry and lose 80lbs in 6 months.

Does eating a lot make you smarter?

No, but it does keep you awake through long nights hunched over a textbook or monkeying around in the lab.

Thinking too much, as definitely seen in Mr Moore’s case, doesn’t necessarily mean you’re thinking right.

Funny. When I think a lot I forget to eat. I forget to do anything but what I am thinking about. Mental work and focus doesn’t make you hungrier, it makes you forget about hunger. This study is very flawed.

That's the point I was making. That if you think too much about food, you have little, if anything, left over for thinking about anything else.

Well, I meant too much thinking caused by “Bush Derangement Syndrome”

He’s showing HUGE symptoms of the disease.
