I don’t know what Barack Obama and his speechwriters were smoking but this speech is a disaster. The entire Democratic Convention had no theme and did not attack John McCain enough. This speech is boring, angry, whiny, lecturing, and full of very little specifics. I don’t know who told the Obama’s not to smile but Michelle and Barack are not smiling enough.
Barack is coming off as an angry, arrogant, and pretentious candidate.
Oh and he just brought out the “recruiting an army of teachers, and paying them a better salary” garbage that we heard on the primary trail, since when can the federal government get involved in the state hiring of public school teachers.
I can only imagine a non political person tuning into this speech and asking, “why is this guy yelling at me, what is he so angry about, is this what hope and change looks like”.
Shouldn’t this be in the bloggers category?
Did Obama get to plant another smooch on Bidens wife? Maybe thats why Michelle is’nt to happy in her picture.
He’s angry because he knows its over and McCain will mop the floor with him.

As per usual, throw more money at teachers and that will fix everything. Do all the other countries we’re compared to pour money into students who are disciplinary problems or lazy students?
The first part of the speech was quite negative, then Obama said something worthwhile about parents being involved in their children’s lives, and finally he went into the “I’ll fix everything” mode.

Your post was the first that I saw mention it. Michelle has to be steaming. I am no fan of Obama's but that seemed weirdly out of line.

Martin Luther King did not need rock stars and fireworks to leave his legacy. Obama is NO MLK. He is no more than a cinder in the ashy heap of history. Obum is an empty suit with the forked tongue of the devil himself, dare I say of a false profit. He is a Marxist, who went to a Marxist so called “Christian” church who damned America and who’s very mission, (so called, “black liberation theology” DENIES THE DIVINITY OF CHRIST. The event was so much bigger than the candidate that it will leave but a sooty residue in the minds of even the most devout Obamatrons. The bad news is that the republicans are so ineffectual and so afraid of not being polite that they are likely to sabotage the gift that the democrats have given them. A soulless, empty windbag, who loathes 50% of his genetic makeup. Some might argue his better half, at very least the half that didn’t run out on him. Gutter politics from the OLD party of lowest common denominators. God save America.
Was his voice high pitched?
If so, maybe they were too tight as well.
