I think what's more important is the fact he always looks away from the person to whom he's speaking. His verbal fumbling and lack of eye contact indicates two things to me:
1) He's lying.
2) He's searching for an answer because he has no core convictions.
Naturally, it is more than probable it's both.

They WAY overspliced these clips. It loses its effectiveness. It's not so much that as the audio splices are abrupt. It's more of a bad audio editing job.
