Yeah, that was nice. Must’ve driven NBC crazy.

That’s going to make the DUmmies heads explode. I saw it too, wonder if Bob Costas or any of the lefties on NBC will mention it.

Yes - I noticed that the interviewer brushed the comment aside, but Walsh’s enthusiasm overshadowed it.

I just heard about the ‘THANK YOU MR. PRESIDENT’ on radio one in Westwood (L.A.). right now.
The announcers didn;t say a word about it, but kept on rambling on stupidly like they knew sports.
To: Scarchin
First Kobe Bryant and now this. These athletes are really starting to earn my respect again. I love it when Americans act like Americans. Isn’t President Bush “McCain’s president?”

Just went over there and they're not mentioning it yet. I was working on my sewer yesterday and there wasn't much difference between that and DUmmieland.
US athletes might as well thank President Bush as they are already on the outs with the DUmmies by beating the left’s favorite the Chicle's.

I’m happy for them. About the only things I enjoyed were swimming and the women’s volleyball.

I’ve gotta say, the American athletes have shown nothing but class through every event. I’ve been so proud of all of them..win or lose, gracious and thankful and most all mentioning how proud they are to represent America. It’s been a great games! (Except for the Chinese cheating and all!)

Why is it axiomatic among the media elite that Bush is both universally reviled and summarily dismissed as a failed president? I, like millions of us, find inspiration in his faith, in his resolve and in his leadership. I feel that there is a growing disconnect between the drive-bys and the real America. That is why they are so shocked at the recent performance by Obama in the polls.

They are AMERICANS first. And last. Our journalist community doesn't get that fact. I am always proud of our Americans who excel at the Olympic sports. I have lived in a Socialist Country (Britain is the 80’s) and the USA is the best place to live on Earth! Period! Many of our athletes GET it, too.

I think being in China made them MORE appreciative of what we have in America..when they say it, it’s almost like they’re saying it for the first time...I’m not saying they are, just that it sounds like it’s fresh in their minds.

Why is it axiomatic among the media elite that Bush is both universally reviled and summarily dismissed as a failed president?I think it's a combination of wishful thinking, and the fact that they don't personally hang around with people who would like President Bush.
I find myself extremely disappointed in his communication skills, but I also respect his ability to focus on the bigger picture, and I think History will be very kind to his watch.
