Republicans are extending their energy vote revolt to a second week this morning in the House of Representatives. Buttressed on Friday by burgeoning crowds attending the protest and glowing praise coming into their offices from voters across the country who are demanding relief from staggering gasoline prices, Republican leaders reiterated their demand that Speaker Nancy Pelosi come off of her book tour to re-convene Congress and bring to a vote the comprehensive drill and bill that would authorize as a supply solution drilling into American energy resources.
As week one of the protest came to a close on Friday, there was a settling-in of sorts by short-handed staffers juggling extra duties while some of their colleagues were off on long vacations. The newness of the extraordinary events that so abruptly engulfed congressmen and staff alike had waned just a bit, and folks appeared to have gotten a handle on merging home district and D.C. schedules and systemizing the chaos that engulfs any attempt to put the brakes on something as unrelenting as a federal government timetable.

Now if we could just get rid of those 5 Republican pukes that sided with the 5 demorats.
The RATS will close disney world if necessary, and the Falcons etal will see an 80% drop at the gate. gotta save the planet. Y2k
On Friday I received a call from the NRCC requesting a contribution and promptly gave them $150, specifically citing this FANTASTIC RESISTANCE to totalitarianism as the reason. The solicitor said the call was being recorded; I said WONDERFUL. I also told her to tell my Senator Corker and the four other Republican fools who’re trying to undermine this to drop the “Gang of Ten.” Later that day I got a call from the NRSCC, told the solicitor about the call from the NRCC and my contribution, and refused to make any contribution to the NRSCC, although I’d previously contributed $350, because of what Corker and the others were doing. I urge everyone on this thread to do the same thing.
That's not saying much.
Pelosi’s book is saving the planet— don’t you understand? Her book, “Saving the Planet with Face Lifts”, uh no. Well whatever its called, she’s doing it, OK? So leave her alone.
This is still going on and it is not on any news channel??????????????????????
where the hell is FOX at least???
The war in Georgia just emphasizes the need for more local energy production.
My Congressman was one of the ones who stayed. I have called his office, locally, to let him know he has my support. Thankfully, my Senator is not one of the idiots who think you can 'compromise' with the dims.
Saxby Chambliss called into Rush on Friday. He was not convincing.
It is my fervent hope that this will help to drive the stake deeper into the chest of the ENEMEDIA.
From the article:
“Estimates on Friday from staffers on hand throughout the day were that upwards of 4,000 people had listened to speeches on the House floor by the end of the day. That number was up around 1,000 from the estimates on Thursday, and the vastly increased congestion in the hallways and the small cloakroom lent support to those claims.”
IT’S GROWING!!! And the contrast is extreme. Also from the article:
“Last Thursdays Drudge Report listed anemic book sales totaling 2,737 copies, yet an estimated 3,000 American vacationers attended the protest in the House chamber last Thursday alone.”
IOW hundreds more ordinary Americans attended the Tea Party on one day (and NOT our biggest day) than the number of books 9% Nan could peddle in WEEKS!
Plus, she had the full support of the Enemedia which is all but ignoring US! Bwahahahah.
Our success in this is vital given what Russia is up to.
I was trying to remember who the Dems were on McCains “Gang of 14”. Do you happen to remember?
LOL!
haha!
Politburo Pelosi’s book sales set a RECORD (or near
record), I bet!
A record for the LEAST books sold! hahaaa!
Zachary !!
Good points there.
Contact your Congress critters to let them know that you are tired of high gas prices.
I might actually pick up a few copies of her book. They are now cheaper that a pack of beer coasters. I want to keep those annoying rings off my coffee table.
Most of these sales were probably to libraries.
