Liberal Press Circles Wagons Around Obama

The liberal media are unhinged over John McCain's recent ad campaign against Barack Obama, which erased Obama's 9-point lead in the polls and tied the race. How dare McCain challenge their anointed one?

Obama is not the only one convinced he is "the one we've been waiting for." The media are also annoyed they have to endure this irritating uprising from McCain, who is officiously intermeddling with the inexorable flow of history.

Sunday show hosts, editorial pages, and both print and TV news stories this past weekend were pregnant with outrage over McCain's "negative" campaigning -- "negative" being defined as anything, truthful or not, that places Obama in a less favorable light than they require.

Their attitude toward Obama is not unlike their approach to the global warming issue: They accept the environmentalists' edict that man-made, apocalyptic warming is occurring, and no one is allowed to dissent.

So if McCain exposes Obama's policy inconsistencies, questions his character, highlights his presumptuousness, inexperience or superficiality, lampoons the media's crush on him, criticizes his injection of race into the campaign, or responds to Obama's attacks, the media yell "foul."

The McCain crew has finally grown a pair.

...These so called 'attack' ads against Senator Flip Flop, Jr. could not have come soon enough.

This should also resonate throughout the GOP, especially with the current Energy crunch, and Madame Speaker Pelosi's refusal to coherently address it.

I say the Arizona Senator continues to go for the jugular right up to Election Day.

As the old expression goes - give them all the rope they want and let them hang themselves.

Another expression - laughing at a fool just makes him mad “which leads to even more foolish statement on his part” - or something like that.

Makes you wonder what Jann Wenner will resort to when he puts Obama on the cover of Rolling Stone again.

I have a theory... And like all others, it's worth about nothing, but I don't think the ad itself has as much to do with Obamas slide as his supporters reaction to it.

All we have heard is whining about racism, phallic symbols, racism, code words, and more racism.

Instead of Change and New Ideas, we are hearing the same tired crap worthy only of the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons and every local poverty pimp since the 1960's.

SOS. Who needs to vote for that?

By far the greatest insult during the campaign season has been Obama’s against the intelligence of the American people, which he repeats daily.

You got it.

...As a Black woman, I'm getting fed up with Obama and the Dim Party and the Alphabet Soup Propaganda Machine circling the wagons and pulling out the over used Race Card to deflect genuine scrutiny and debate...that is precisely what the election process is all about.

Would all of this overwrought press hysteria be rendered even sillier were it to turn out that Sen. McCain was in actuality quoting Sen. Obama? Methinks that it would.

A February 24, 2005, Washington Post article begins:
“Andy Warhol said we all get our 15 minutes of fame,” says Barack Obama. “I’ve already had an hour and a half. I mean, I’m so overexposed, I’m making Paris Hilton look like a recluse.”

That is pretty much the who and the why of Sen. McCain’s explanation of his ad, is it not? It turns out he wasn’t mocking Sen. Obama so much as channeling him. Or making a mini-documentary out of the Post’s article.

Either way, it is just another example of the elite media not liking a Leftist’s own words being used against him in the court of public opinion.

I wonder if any of these liberal “Press” “reporters” have any clue, how blatant and obvious their lying bias is being perceived by ever larger numbers of Americans?

That the one thing that is becoming unmistakably evident to their readers/viewers is the most of the MSM...are lying creeps that can *not* be trusted.

Its not circling the wagons as much as its manning the pumps on the Titanic. Each day Obama Sinks a little in the eyes of the public. Keep making him a laughing stock (it isn’t hard to do) and the race will be a McCain landslide.
