Obama's Global Tax
IBD Editorials ^ | July 29, 2008

Election '08: A plan by Barack Obama to redistribute American wealth on a global level is moving forward in the Senate. It follows Marxist theology — from each according to his ability, to each according to his need.

We are citizens of the world, Sen. Obama told thousands of nonvoting Germans during his recent tour of the Middle East and Europe. And if the Global Poverty Act (S. 2433) he has sponsored becomes law, which is almost certain if he wins in November, we're also going to be taxpayers of the world.

Speaking in Berlin, Obama said: "While the 20th century taught us that we share a common destiny, the 21st has revealed a world more intertwined than at any time in human history."

What the 20th century really showed was a series of totalitarian threats — from fascism to Nazism to communism — defeated by the U.S. military. Hitler's Germany, Mussolini's Italy, Tojo's Japan and the Soviet Union offered destinies we did not share.

Our destiny of peace and freedom through strength was not achieved by a transnationalist fantasy of buying the world a Coke and singing "Kumbaya."

Obama's Global Poverty Act offers us a global socialist destiny we do not want, one that challenges America's very sovereignty. The former "post-racial" candidate obviously intends to be a post-national president.

Kerry lost support with his global test. We need to do the same thing with Obama’s global tax.

A local radio station did a man or woman on the streets skit and asked this young woman who she was voting for and of coarse she said Obama. The next question was what policies or ideas of Obama’s do you agree with. With a silly little giggle she states she is not very good at those things. She again was asked there must be something that attracts you to him and again the silly little giggle and the same moronic answer “I'm not good at these things”
WHAT THE HELL ARE WE COMING TO? THE MAN IS BLATANTLEY OUT FRONT TELLING YOU HOW HE'S GOING TO SCREW EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US AND WE SAY GO RIGHT AHEAD AND MAY I HAVE ANOTHER. These morons and there are plenty will be voting for a man they know nothing about and they are just fine with that. Well I'm not I will be voting for Mccain, I'm not crazy about him, I disagree with much but I will not give this country up to socialist Marxist and the idiots who follow and vote for him. GET ENERGIZED AND LETS TAKE THE ELECTION BY STORM!

I’ve already written to my Senators about this....they will both vote for it if their letters in response are to be believed....well, I THINK that’s what they said. It’s really hard to tell, because they write such strange letters.

I don’t remember the author, maybe it was Kroushev, who said the USSR, Communism, will hang us and that we will sell them the rope. He was right! They are buying us.

Remember the Marine Captain Scott Ritter who was such a staunch patriot as an inspector with the UN inspection team in Iraq? He then turned on us only for us later to discover that he had accepted $400,00 from Saddam through a third party.

Remember the Oil for Food scandal where France, Germany and Russia, at least the leaders, were accepting kick backs under the facade of taking care of the weak and under privaliedgied,

How much money is being funneled to the media and the DNC and others from our enemies? The left, with all their ill-gained money are buying the Democrat leaders. We are being sold down the drain by selfish politicians.

Don’t blame all of them. There are some good ones.

Remember, the real case against Slick Willie was the campaign contributions from Communist China and the Riadys from Indonesia, not Monica. Because Monica came up first and Slick Willie’s perjury in that case, it came one the docket first. Then the whole thing got side tracker to “It was just a personal matter” or “ It was only sex!” The real treason issues got left in the evidence room with no body wanting to look at them.]Slick
willie should have been hung as a traitor but because the
republicans, especially GWB,l want to be “good guys for the sake of the country” we let the crimnal traitors go. Where is the sense in that?

“Not only is he that stupid, but so are those who are voting for him”

The problem is, is that more than 45% of the voting electorate WILL vote for him, and policies like this massive wealth redistribution scheme.

And even more of a problem than THAT, the electorate is changing moreso in that regard - and is destined to become even MORE liberal in the decades to come. We may win against the likes of Obama this time. We won’t be able to hold his ilk off in the future.

Hard times for conservatives, and for conservatism, which I predict will eventually become a diminished voice in American politics. A voice that will still speak, certainly - but fewer and fewer of the electorate will be listening....

I hope I’m proven wrong about my predictions....
