I’d use Joe Cocker’s “You are so beautiful” myself...

I don't know who sings the song but it's from the 50’s I believe.

I love him
I love him
I love him

and where he goes
I'll follow
I'll follow
I'll follow

I will follow him
wherever he may go
there isn't an ocean too deep
or mountain so high it can keep
keep me away
away from my love

My parents listened to it when I was a kid and it fits the video perfectly.

How about one of the corniest songs ever by Beatles:

Love, love me do

You know I love you,
I'll always be true,
So please, love me do.
Whoa, love me do.

Love, love me do.
You know I love you,
I'll always be true,
So please, love me do.
Whoa, love me do.

Someone to love,
Somebody new.
Someone to love,
Someone like you.

How about “Can’t take my eyes off of you” Four Seasons?

Can’t you just see Little Chrissy Mathews singing it.

I think McCain is smart to hit this straight on. Those videos really do expose the absurdity of it all, especially Chrissy...he’s pathetic.

Song: DON’T KNOW HOW TO LOVE HIM

I don’t know how to love him.
What to do, how to move him.
I’ve been changed, yes really changed.
In these past few days, when I’ve seen myself,
I seem like someone else.
I don’t know how to take this.
I don’t see why he moves me.
He’s a man. He’s just a man.
And I’ve had so many men before,
In very many ways,
He’s just one more.
Should I bring him down?
Should I scream and shout?
Should I speak of love,
Let my feelings out?
I never thought I’d come to this.
What’s it all about?
Don’t you think it’s rather funny,
I should be in this position.
I’m the one who’s always been
So calm, so cool, no lover’s fool,
Running every show.
He scares me so.
I never thought I’d come to this.
What’s it all about?
Yet, if he said he loved me,
I’d be lost. I’d be frightened.
I couldn’t cope, just couldn’t cope.
I’d turn my head. I’d back away.
I wouldn’t want to know.
He scares me so.
I want him so.
I love him so.

Wow, I didn’t think of that. Then there’s the version from the movie, “Sister Act”...where the nuns sing it.

"Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show" Neil Diamond
I can just imagine it being played at the democrat convention in August.

Hot August night
And the leaves hanging down
And the grass on the ground smellin' sweet
Move up the road to the outside of town
And the sound of that good gospel beat
Sits a ragged tent
Where there ain't no trees
And that gospel group tellin' you and me
It's Love, Brother Love, say
Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show
Pack up the babies and grab the old ladies
And ev'ryone goes, 'cause everyone knows
Brother Love's show

Room gets suddenly still
And when you'd almost bet
You could hear yourself sweat, he walks in
Eyes black as coal
And when he lifts his face
Ev'ry ear in the place is on him
Starting soft and slow
Like a small earthquake
And when he lets go,
Half the valley shakes

It's Love, Brother Love, say
Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show
Pack up the babies and grab the old ladies
And ev'ryone goes, 'cause everyone knows
Brother Love's show

[Sermon]

Take my hand in yours,
Walk with me this day
In my heart I know, I will never stray
Halle, halle, halle, halle
Halle, halle, halle, halle
It's Love, Brother Love, say
Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show
Pack up the babies
And grab the old ladies and ev'ryone goes
I say, Love, Brother Love, say
Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show
Pack up the babies
And grab the old ladies and ev'ryone goes...

#13 = McCain is smart to hit this straight on...??
---
Is McCain smart, or is mc a crybaby? Someone tell 'bigboy' John that what the media gives, the media takes away, anytime they want. How else do we explain McC's rising from the ashes last fall 07? A sharp 7th grader knew this was going to happen. duh..?
---
GOP, find someone else, fast!
---------------

Last Winter 08, Michael Reagan said that the Dems had a 'rock star' candidate, and that the GOP / conservatives needed a ROCK STAR Candidate. Within a few days of hearing that, I had just heard radio host Jason Lewis for the first time, filling in for Rush.

Jason Lewis could explain the problems with health care and what sounded like good solutions in a manner of minutes. And it wasn't going to take 100's of thousands of pages of gub'ment regs to do it. He debated with the opposition caller most graciously, but firmly. He listened, but then refuted the liberal line.

Jason Lewis is the conservative Rock Star! Let's let all the hot-shots with their vast govt. experience be the advisors, I want the hot-shot *Conservative Communicators* with character ON The Ticket!

GOP Primary 2008: Need Fresh Faces & New Talent = Gregg Cunningham / Jason Lewis

My favorite person who should consider being a candidate for high public office is said to be "too conservative" to be elected in California.   (This has also been said about Duncan Hunter.)   True, or false?   Can a candidate be "too conservative", or is it that the conservative "movement", the conservative media and (FR) forums are NOT doing an adequate / effective job of working together and presenting conservatism to the culture?

For several years now, I have thought that   Gregg Cunningham,   a conservative Republican, is someone who should consider running for high public office. This would include Pres / VP in 2008, or as Gov. / Lt. Gov in Calif. in 2010.

Note: These are the posted opinions and views of FR Golden Gate; and at this time are not authorized by any proposed or prospective candidate. (April 15, 2008 = 8:00 PM)

AND, yes, the Democrats still need a nationwide talent search for a couple of suitable candidates for Pres / VP.
No Retreads, Thank You.
