I have a hunch Chavez considers their relationship a lot closer than does King Juan Carlos. :)

... he would like to give the king of Spain a hug when he visits Europe next week.

The pasty-faced communist needs to stick to hugging Fidel.

Juan Carlos doesn't need Chavez's affection.

(Besides Chavez, like most communist tyrants, stinks.)

Chavez is a jerk alright but I can’t say much for the leadership of Spain. I mean, these people are going to give human rights to apes, including the right to own property. How stupid can you get?

IIRC, King Juan Carlos is a martial-arts expert of long standing.

If Chavez attempts to hug him (heck, why am I even speculating? By now the King has rehearsed a dozen ways to take down the Caracas blowhard.)

How do you say, “make my day” in Castilian?

"...but the outspoken leader, referring to a diplomatic spat last year, said he will not shut up"

Oh yes he will. Mr. Chavez will most certainly "shut up" once his people have finally had enough and put a bullet through his moronic head.

I recall a news story about six months ago where Chavez had purchased 1000 of the Russian version of the 50 caliber sniper rifle for use by the Venezuelan military.

This will end soon enough.

Most of the MSM doesn't realize that European Spaniards look upon dark skinned hispanics from Latin America as.....er...... dirty, stupid and lazy.....

Of course we realize that minorities can't be racists. Right?

Well, it's not a word, but the approximate spoken equivalent is "sscchhwiiinngggggg".

This is usually, at least in formal proceedings, followed by the two French words "En garde!"
