It’s natural to be skeptical of excessive claims about Obama’s radical associations...there are so many. But one bears attention — because it helped him get his start in politics. In 1996, he won an Illinois state senate seat on a “fusion” ticket of the Democratic Party and leftist group called the “New Party.”

The New Party with 7,000 members at its peak, had been an explicitly anti-capitalist party of ex-Communists, socialists and activists from ACORN, the hard-left group that’s constantly in trouble over voter fraud. The New Party didn’t ask for Obama’s association; he asked for the New Party’s endorsement.

Blogger Rick Moran has found disturbing particulars. First, the New Party didn’t give its support and campaign volunteers to just anyone. Obama actually had to audition for it.

Anyone wanting a New Party endorsement had to “be approved via a NP political committee. Once approved, candidates must sign a contract with the NP. The contract mandates that they must have a visible and active relationship with the NP

So Obama signed on with this group and now remains in its debt.

That raises questions about what was in the New Party platform that drew in Obama. Maybe its own statements saying it was formed “to break the stranglehold that corporate money and corporate media have over the political process.”

Sound familiar? One of the few things Obama reveals in his vague “change” agenda are plans to punish corporations. He rails against “corporate profits” and even worked in a condemnation of them in his first defense of Rev. Jeremiah Wright. So there’s little doubt he shares a lot of what the New Party believes.

This editorial is very damning of Baraq Hussein. This New Party stuff is sinister.

Never fear, I believe we are going to know more about Obama-commie than we care to.

I am encouraged by (of all things) the AOL straw poll, which with over 300,000 votes shows McCain ahead 55 to 45%. AOL polls are notoriously left slanted by its microculture.

And this is before all the info about Obama being a reincarnation of Bobby Seal and Huey P. Newton of the Black Panther Party surfaces.

I think we are talking major blowout.

I wonder if O Reilly or someone else who is truly “looking out for us” will push Obama on this and also on the statements he’s made regarding raising taxes...against drilling...etc. This guy is an empty suit plain and simple...

I hope you are right, but there are people who I would exepect to be more reasonable that are still supporting Obama. Can someone explain to me what is in it for the LSM and people like George Soros? Do they have “deals” with them where they are exempt from all the new taxes?

I fear that, unless another “Swift Boat Veterans for Truth” type organization gets into gear and publishes “Unfit for Command: Part II,” the truth may never be revealed beyond a few editorials in IBD, WSJ, Washington Times, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, and Boston Herald. It’s critical that this information become widespread knowledge. And there is no way that McCain will do it.
