“Yes, we are going skiing,” Hanle said, though he could not confirm the details.

The Skico previously indicated it would consider opening the mountain this weekend, which coincides with the Aspen Food & Wine Magazine Classic.

It's unusual but not unprecedented to have skiing on Ajax mountain this late in the season, after Independence Pass already has opened for the summer.

Bear Camp road, where James Kim lost his life, still has TEN FOOT DRIFTS in places!

It’s insane...the weather in Oregon is like early March, if not earlier.

Crested Butte, just south across the mountains from Aspen, had close to 500 inches of snow this season. It snowed again Saturday night.

Your Carbon Belch:

Your one-day Carbon Belch has been calculated at: 130 pounds of CO2.
Nice job! (The average American's belch is 41 pounds.)

Thanks to you, we have calculated a cumulative total of 110,425,594 pounds of CO2 set to be released on Carbon Belch Day.
