Makes sense. If Obama is elected, he will be the guaranteed 2012 nominee - making it at least 8 and possibly 12 years in the wilderness for the Clinton people.

I would put them doing something they couldn’t screw up or sabotage. I’m not sure what that is, but I imagine there is something.

Who does this surprise? I’ve been saying for months that Clinton and McCain were almost peas in the same pod. I’m not convinced at all, that Hillary won’t be his Vice-Presidential pick. No, I am not kidding.

That video would be devastating, except for the fact that the Obamatards simply don’t care. He’s their new religion, afterall.

This might make up for some of the Republicans who can't get enthused enough about McCain to actively work for him.

I'm counted among them. As far as I'm concerned it's a good match for him politically.

Agree, McCain/Clinton would attract a lot of voters disaffected by the obamarama.

I wonder whether they’re negotiating a new Unity Party.

Maybe we could put them with George Tenet in charge of the CIA?

I would call McCain the perfect Third-Way candidate, except for one thing. The guy is a Democrat. He makes no pretense of truly reaching out to Conservatives, except to voice a few promises. No, I think this is the perfect Democrat ticket. Unfortunately, it’s running from the Republican party.

I believe John Kennedy would be shocked by McCain’s leftist stance on some issues.

Makes sense if you consider not all democrats want to support a man who went to a racist church for 20 years and is friends with terrorists.

The race and gender question was a very contentious issue right after the Civil War. Susan B Anthony and Frederick Douglass were political allies until it came down to answering the question of who was going to get the right to vote first, WHITE women, or black MEN.

That women had to wait another 60 years still rankles many activist women who see gender discrimination as affecting more people than race discrimination.

On the other hand, I have to smile at the image of strident, hairy-legged women protesting in Denver. Most of them were inured to tear gas back in their college days and the ‘68 Chicago convention.
