Interesting times. I heard Rush made mention of it today.

Makes sense. If Obama is elected, he will be the guaranteed 2012 nominee - making it at least 8 and possibly 12 years in the wilderness for the Clinton people.

Who does this surprise? I’ve been saying for months that Clinton and McCain were almost peas in the same pod. I’m not convinced at all, that Hillary won’t be his Vice-Presidential pick. No, I am not kidding.

Matt Burns, the spokesman for the GOP convention in St. Paul e-mails to say that the RNC's convention office in St. Paul has received numerous telephone calls in the last few hours from people who identify themselves as Clinton supporters asking how they can help Sen. McCain. This might make up for some of the Republicans who can't get enthused enough about McCain to actively work for him.

Makes sense if you consider not all democrats want to support a man who went to a racist church for 20 years and is friends with terrorists.

The race and gender question was a very contentious issue right after the Civil War. Susan B Anthony and Frederick Douglass were political allies until it came down to answering the question of who was going to get the right to vote first, WHITE women, or black MEN.
That women had to wait another 60 years still rankles many activist women who see gender discrimination as affecting more people than race discrimination.
On the other hand, I have to smile at the image of strident, hairy-legged women protesting in Denver. Most of them were inured to tear gas back in their college days and the ‘68 Chicago convention.

I remember a caller on Rush weeks ago saying he was Operation Chaos operative working for the Hillary campaign...now that Obama is untouchable, are they surfacing?
