McCain spoke with bloggers this morning on a number of issues ranging from William Ayers to Rev. Wright to Tony Rezko. Jennifer Rubin noted that Hamas had endorsed Senator Obama and asked McCain whether Obama might have given "an unhelpful signal" to the terrorist group. McCain's response:
All I can tell you Jennifer is that I think it's very clear who Hamas wants to be the next president of the United States. So apparently has Danny Ortega and several others. I think that people should understand that I will be Hamas's worst nightmare....If senator Obama is favored by Hamas I think people can make judgments accordingly.
And this is where McCain can START to win me back.
Earlier this month, Ahmed Yousef, chief political adviser to the Prime Minister of Hamas, told WABC radio, "We like Mr. Obama and we hope he will win the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy." When Obama campaign manager David Axelrod was informed of the endorsement following last week's debate in Pennsylvania, he said it was "flattering when anybody says that Barack Obama would follow in [JFK's] footsteps."How'd that work out for Kerry?
Thankfully, JSMcCain didn’t back off this one. News alert to alll - Rev. Wright on Bill Moyers tonight (per all the clips, total whitewash - consider the source). BIGGEST news - Chris Wallace’s months-long Obama Watch ends this weekend on Fox News Sunday (FNC), BHO to do a sit-down interview with Chris for the full hour.
Perhaps McCain IS nuts as quite a few have alleged.
Please tell me how he can win you back with this attack on Obama over the support of Hamas, while at the exact same time he insults and smears the NC Republican party for running ads on the “Rev.” Wright issue.
I’m sick of McCain demanding that other Republicans/free Americans shut up while he is free to run his mouth whenever he pleases.
He winked when he disagreed with NC-GOP. You missed it.
"If senator Obama is favored by Hamas I think people can make judgments accordingly."
"Republican U.S. presidential candidate John McCain accused North Carolina's Republican Party of being "out of touch with reality" over its refusal to pull an advertisement criticizing Democrat Barack Obama."

Wow, good statement, Senator McCain. Now I’d like to know why it’s OK to point out that Obama is beloved by terrorists and commie revolutionaries, but not OK to point out that Obama sought ought and sucked up to a “Reverend” for 20 years who is a virulent racist chanting “God D-— America” and similar endearing slogans??
He’ll only stoop to attacking democrats when there aren’t any republicans around.
