(FYI, this matter has been and will continue to be covered in prayer on the other thread.)

Eagles and Prayers UP for our troops and their mission.
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation,
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the Heav'n - rescued land
Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, for our cause is just,
And this be our motto--"In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Bless you!
This will be such a great boost to our troops!
The traitors in DC and in the country - the great unwashed and brain-dead like code pink (I suspicion they are, in some manner, bribed and paid) - are not having any success in pulling off what Kerry/Fonda/Kennedy and Gang did with our Vietnam troops.
America isn't going to sit by and let that happen again.

Gathering of Eagles will hold a press conference at the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.Get an official permit and ask for plenty of police. Bring video cameras to tape the event - and anything else. Advertising this on the web will surely bring out the leftist goons.

What I can't understand is where is the voice of our Military? If anyone should have an opinion that counts it should be them. I keep waiting for them to come forward and let their voice be heard. I know that not all are pro the Iraq war but from what I glean most are. They want the job done and done right. Is there some kind of code that says that they can't campaign? If there is it should be dropped! Because they are in the Military does not mean that they have forfeited there right to political speech. I want to hear their voice and America needs to.

Military members are prohibited from a lot of things other Americans take for granted. Check out the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) to find out more.

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave,
From the terror of flight and the gloom of the grave;
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave!

In the fall of 1779, two marauding Tories plundered the Lincoln County home of George Wilfong, a Whig, and brazenly using the man's clothes line to lead off his horses. Wilfong and some others pursued the thieves and regained his horses, but the thieves escaped and headed south toward the British Lines. Before reaching safety, they were apprehended by Ben Cleveland's scouts and brought to the Wilkes County courthouse. Here, Cleveland summarily administered his justice, using Wilfong's clothes line to hang the loyalist from the limbs of the Tory Oak.
The enraged British forces sent a Captain Riddle and two men, named Reeves and Goss, to capture Cleveland. They nearly accomplished this aim, but instead found themselves taken prisoner, shortly after which they too were dangling from the beckoning branches of the Tory Oak.
