Politico ^

Among the debts reported this month by Hillary Rodham Clinton’s struggling presidential campaign, the $292,000 in unpaid health insurance premiums for her campaign staff stands out.

Clinton, who is being pressured to end her campaign against Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination, has made her plan for universal health care a centerpiece of her agenda.

All this complaining about Hillary stiffing her campaign workers on healthcare is totally unfair!!! They had health care all along-universal health care: health care from the universe. Hey, its just as good as socialized med— er, uh, I mean “universal healthcare”.

Three hundred thousand bucks.. I wonder how many small contributors realized that they weren’t paying for an election campaign, but helping to pay insurance premiums?

Not only is she an arrogant bore, she has no sense of irony.

[sarcasm]
Chill, Bill. I think that you are overlooking the fine, Democrat art of "nuances."
[/sarcasm]

Let's also not overlook that Senator Clinton's alleged ignoring of health care premiums is just the tip of the iceberg concerning Clinton's integrity. More specifically, this post (<-click), while addressing a tax-related thread, explains in more detail why Constitution-ignoring federal politicians like Senator Clinton are foolishly following in the footsteps of FDR's dirty federal spending politics.

In fact, note that when Jefferson reflected on the Founder's division of federal and state government powers, that he used the example that the Founders trusted the states, not the federal government, with the care of people.

"Our citizens have wisely formed themselves into one nation as to others and several States as among themselves. To the united nation belong our external and mutual relations; to each State, severally, the care of our persons, (emphasized by Amendment10) our property, our reputation and religious freedom." --Thomas Jefferson: To Rhode Island Assembly, 1801. ME 10:262 http://tinyurl.com/onx4j
Also, consider that the people can always exercise their Article V power to properly amend the Constitution to formally authorize the federal government to manage health care. Until the people choose to do so, however, health care remains a state power issue.

The bottom line is that people need to wise up to the major of problem of a federal government that is not operating within the restraints of the federal Constitution, particularly where constitutionally unauthorized federal spending is concerned. Instead of trying to send big-shot federal spenders like Clinton to the Oval Office, politicians who are foolishly following in the footsteps of FDR's dirty spending politics, the people need to send people like Senator Clinton home.

“Hitlery isn’t paying for health insurance for her workers?”

Motto of the democrats is ALWAYS use the taxpayers money for any bill that comes in. I’m sure she will soon propose a bill for the taxpayers to pick this one up.

Anyone doing business with a DemcRat campaign should be demanding cash in advance. Otherwise they will just extort the services from you. I wonder what health care provider is giving her credit..they must expect some kind of pay off..

We holler, we scream, we jump up and down, because hillary is in the race for the whitehouse. She proved during her “husband’s” term that she couldn’t manage squat. With evidence that she couldn’t manage anything, that she is a liar, that she is a manipulator, that she is a full blown liberal MARXIST, she is still in the running for the whitehouse. She has outflanked about 7 other people during this campaign, she is still in the running against barak hussein obama. She told us that she would take from us for the common good and she still managed to campaign for the presidency. Now the news media and some barak supporting democrats are asking hillary to drop out of the race. We will then have barak hussein obama and John McCain running for the most powerful job in this country, the Presidency.

When the campaign comes down to obama and McCain, will the screaming media and lite-republicans like hagel and some here ask McCain to drop out of the race? Should that happen and McCain does drop out.....what then??

The “messaih” will have been chosen..what then? This fellow is worse than hillary....far worse. He’ll take more than for the common good.

I’m just sitting here, thinking, heard some stuff on tv, that rankled my idea of America and what she stands for. A lot of young people are putting their lives on the line for us, and lot before them, put their lives on the line for us. A lot of these have paid a high price for our way of life. Most of our elected officials have never put their life on the line for this country and that bothers me.

Now we have elected officials and the screaming media asking hillary to drop out of the presidential race....that will leave two, which one will you vote for?

With that I agree -— but don’t bank on Hillary dropping out of the race — she has lusted after this power for a very long time. Pure power lust. I think she will go for the super delegates, be damned with the Dem party, Osama Obama, or anything else other than her own lust for pure political power. That is all that matters to her...and always has been.

This is the one time I HOPE hillary has the crust and tenacity to stay the course for POWER. She has lusted for this from the time she was able to believe she MAY BE the first female president. We’ll just have to pray John McCain has the votes to become our next President. I sure would hate to see one of the other 2 get it. FReepers had better take and deep breathe and vote Republican. I know I will.

If it was Progressive Insurance or one of its corporate kin, this could have been planned as an intentional, quiet campaign donation/writeoff.
