If the police happen to catch you crashing your car because you're high on drugs and soaked with booze, it's an arrest and likely jail time, too. But as a Kennedy, part of America's royal family, you're exempt from the law. The Cape Cod Orca is free and clear from any slick-related consequences.
Well, the trouble is, there’s no such thing as an engine that doesn’t leak at least a little fuel or lubricating oil through the seals. I keep my boat in good order, and I’m very careful about spilling diesel fuel when I fill the tank, but there’s usually a few drops of oil in the bilge of any power boat—some of it probably left there when the boat yard was working on the engine. My problem is with coast guard officials who don’t discriminate between a bad oil spill and a few drops.
In this case, after I saw the picture, I’d say that it was more than a few drops, and the crew should have sopped it up rather than pumped it overboard. The crew is to blame as well as Teddy, since after the boss left the boat, whatever order he gave, he presumably would have had time to do it right.
What the cause of the spill was, the article doesn’t say.
What a fat, rich white trash, sorry excuse for a human being.
