Now that it is pretty much official that John McCain is going to be the nominee, what does everyone plan to do for the November election? Do you plan to vote for McCain to keep Shrillary out or are you going to vote third party or not vote at all? I haven't been on this board much since Duncan Hunter dropped out and am really done with the GOP, but considering now is not the time where another party is in place to challenge I will vote for the 'lesser of the evils' in McCain just to keep the old hag Shrillary out. It will be the last time I place my vote for the GOP. I think a third party should then be formed and ready for the next election so it is in contention. This is a very serious election for our survival and Shrillary is so bad that I will vote for McCain this one and only time. Shame on Ann Coulter and Limbaugh.
Your second sentence proves the first one a lie. And, of course, you ran away from the simple, straightforward query of #74... just like every other charter member of Cabana Boys for Juan has, to date.
I'd feign shock, but... well... c'mon. C'mon.
Rubbish. Voters have selected the candidates and John McCain will be elected our next president. Bank on it. Your lack of faith in your fellow Americans is telling.
All three of the major party candidates are going to take us further down the road called socialism. The only difference being whether they would go at 35 mph, 55 mph, or 75 mph. Ironically, the fact that the major party candidates are so flawed makes it an easy choice for me; I’ll be voting for a conservative third party candidate for President.
The only good news I see coming out of this election is the possibility of a conservative third party becoming viable as a result. As the GOP seems hell bent on joining the Whig party on the ashheap of history, what comes after the GOP offers us some hope. It’ll be interesting to watch from the sidelines.
In the meantime I’ll be focusing on family, the Lord, and figuring out ways to better prosper under socialism. I think most of my FR time will be spent with the Surviving Socialism pinglist. Hope to see y’all there.
If McCain selects Romney for VP, I will vote for the ticket.
If not, I’m not sure.
As a GOP committeeman, and a poll worker and volunteer in my district, I will NOT be out there door knocking and handing out brochures for McCain.....
Unless something dramatic happens between not and election day.
McCain has one chance left with me. His VP selection. It’s got to be Romney, or someone else whom I can respect as a conservative.
Add me, please. ;)
Write in on Presidential, Conservative on local races.
You are a Republican right? You do realize that you are in a third party right? If our ancestors believed as you do, there would be no Republican party.
McCain’s a jerk RINO and WAS a media darling, there’s no disputing that.
The only reason I’ll vote for him is National Security.
I don’t think we can even count on him for SCOTUS nominations to be conservatives.
He’s too busy kissing Donkey Butt.
My fellow Americans keep electing idiots.
There is only 10%, my estimate, that even pays attention in class.
Just look at the morons worshipping Osamabamalamadingdong and the Beast Woman, I have no faith in them for sure!!
We the People have a job to do this year training McCain how to be a REAL conservative.
You would vote for Shrillary? And you think McCain is THAT bad in that you would actually vote for Shrillary? I could understand NOT voting but VOTING FOR SHRILLARY? This is sick.
Stay home and drink heavily.
One enemy of the Republic is as good as any other.
That’s how I look at it. It’s important to get past this election and have an opportunity the NEXT election. With Shrillary, there is no next time. And our troops do not deserve as bad as that.
Yes, our country could use A LOT of prayers. We are not in a good place right now. And obviously McCain is really more of the same, but considering it is about survival to make it to another election and have another choice lined up next time and the time to become credible to put an end to the ‘Kennedy wing of the Republican party’.
No dog in this race for me. Once again, outside the political spectrum. Do my best to keep this group from destroying the world.
Yada Yada.
“All three of the major party candidates are going to take us further down the road called socialism. The only difference being whether they would go at 35 mph, 55 mph, or 75 mph.”
I agree with that, but I don’t see another candidate having a shot at this point and only helping Shrillary out and I think it’s important we last to another election and I don’t see that with Shrillary. Like I said, McCain would be crazy enough to scare our terrorist and Chinese/Russian enemies and national security is THE issue at this point. After this election, it’s important to have a conservative party.
“You obviously havent been paying any attention to the polls. John McCain is going to wipe the floor with the Dim come November without your help.”
Now that’s funny. Which polls are you talking about? The opinion polls run by organizations like Gallup, or the polls where people actually voted?
In the polls where people actually voted, a very different forecast is taking shape. In the TX primary held yesterday, Sen. McCain received 51% of the vote. The race for the nomination was effectively over weeks ago, and yet Sen McCain barely received more than half of the vote in the GOP primary.
How does a Presidential candidate win an election when a large chunk of his own party will go out of their way to cast a vote against him?
Answer: he doesn’t.
I will vote for John McCain. (He was last on my list of Republican candidates)
I would NEVER vote for evil. I will do everything that I can to insure that it doesn’t win.
As for Barack, I wouldn’t vote for this socialist.
John McCain will win by forming a new coalition with independents, McCain Democrats, and Hispanics. In order to successfully accomplish this, the conservative extremists will have to be forced out of the party as their presence will only scare off normal Americans. Basically, we no longer need you to win.
“I agree with that, but I dont see another candidate having a shot at this point and only helping Shrillary out and I think its important we last to another election and I dont see that with Shrillary.”
You should vote as your conscience dictates. I’m not willing to vote for someone in a general election whose political philosophy is diametrically opposed to my own.
Trundling out the bogeyman is no longer a winning strategy with me. If the GOP was actually concerned about Sen Clinton or Sen Obama, it wouldn’t have nominated a candidate that a significant portion of it’s own membership finds repugnant. Now that it has made it’s bed, it should expect to lie in it.
