Huckabee dropped out ping!
Whither is a good word for his campaign.
This is a sad excuse for a Republican Candidate. I am honestly sick. Not sure what is happening next for us here!!
Should I leave the Republican Party tomorrow or wait until it is official? He doesn’t have enough pledged delegates yet to overcome a blow up in the next six months. However, with Huckabee out, he is the only one left.
Mike Huckabee was a strong candidate and would have served well in the White House. He’s a little too easy to poke fun at but, on the serious side, I don’t think anyone altered the course of the campaign as much as he has. I salute a worthy opponent and a Great American. God Bless, Mike Huckabee. Fair winds and following seas.
Wow. I thought after reading the headline that this article was about McCain. I guess the MSM’s obsession with the Demos is all encompassing.
McCain had an absolutely wonderful speech. I liked the nod to homeschooling. I wish I could trust that he would vote like his speech. But his track record says otherwise.
We'd better be prepared, though. When he gets into office and tries to shove amnesty down our throats again, the same schmucks that voted for him in the primary will come crying to those of us who actually pay attention and killed it last time, begging us to stop the damn thing again.
This is a sad day for America.
What the HELL was he thinking these last 6 weeks?
Ping!
What this article failed to mention is that Sen. McCain “wrapped it up” by getting about 53% of the GOP vote in Texas. Hardly a ringing endorsement for a race that has been over for all effects and purposes for a few weeks now.
Bump for now. Will read this in the morning.
For the last couple years I have been wavering on whether or not I can call myself a Republican. Now I know I cannot without any remaining doubt. I am leaving the party.
Classic politics is that a Republicans moves right to capture the nomination, then moves to the center.
Now that McCain has the nomination, he will move even farther left.
Yes, the McCain we all dislike will now move even further across the aisle, he’ll be sitting in Teddy Kennedy’s lap.
THEME SONG JOHNNY COMES MARCHING HOME!!!!
Oh, I’m sure there will be hundreds of calls for conservatives to vote for Ron Paul as a protest vote against McCain. Yep, that’ll happen right after juniper berries grow out of Obama’s ears. God forbid anyone vote for Paul, an actual conservative, to send a message for conservatism—though ‘sending a message’ through that hack Huckabee, that was just fine.
Back to running for congress. He won the congressional primary for his district.
The way McCain is treating the base of the Party: “My
democrat friends”. I’m writing in Fred Thompson.
