If your mother is a Jew, Jews believe that it makes you one. If your parents are both episcopalians, does that make you one? Suppose one is a methodist and one is a Baptist? What are you "born"?
The truth is, his father was a Muslim and his mother was some type of white-bread Christian. If that makes trouble with some Muslims or Muslim nations, make that the point -- but I don't think any of us is branded at birth with someone else's beliefs.

With Michelle Obama, maybe she was telling the truth. Maybe she hasn't ever been proud of this country, and will muster a small amount of begrudging pride because despite his utter absence of qualifications, her husband may run it. Maybe, if they win, she'll run around for four years lecturing us on how evil we are, and how she and Obama are the best thing that's ever happened to this country, because they're going to save us from ourselves.

Dukakis was a pastel patriot, Jon Cary is a pathetic leftist wanker, and Obama Hussein WILL have to address issues that a servile MSM has so far tried to sneer at or ignore. I don’t believe that Obama is necessarily any closet Muslim, but there is plenty of evidence that he and his wife ARE far-left America-hating Demagogues, slyly pretending to be within the mainstream but only really in the mainstream of the far-left. Sure the MSM tries not to probe at all into their actual views, we only get presented with his glib superficial calls for unity and change, whatever that is supposed to mean without any substance. The real substance of Obama is that he is a far left anti-military, surrender weasel who wants to give up on all our hard-earned success in Iraq just as a substantial victory is within our reach. If Obama can get all the way to November without the public getting to know “the real Obama” then the MSM’s propaganda will have been more successful than ever.

I'm just trying to do the math. His dad was a muslim. his mom was an atheist. His stepdad was a muslim. He attended a school in Indonesia where he enrolled as a muslim on the application. And he's a Christian? When? Where? How? I grant that people convert, but why deny it if he was once a muslim?

Well, he isn't a muslim, but he's a very strange Christian. His church requires its members recite a "pledge to Africa," a racialist form of "Christianity" reminiscent of "German Christianity" under Hitler, or the Ku Kluxers. Bizarre.
On their website as to what Trinity UCC Church is about, there's lots about race, especially racial resentment, while Jesus Christ is reduced to a peripheral bit player.
I just think that's a stretch. Hitlery & Bill Clinton loathe the US military, many of whose members actually FEEL something in their hearts when they respect our flag. I've watched Hitlery & Slick Willie for 15 years & never seen anything but self-indulgent greed, and a nauseating DIS-respect for American ideals I hold dear.
Obama I don't know about...yet. I root for him only until he has successfully ended the Clinonian Era.

According to Rasmuussen's poll, released today, McCain is up 2% on Obama and up 4% on Clinton. Obama has topped out. My only question is, will he collapse in time for Hillary to pull it out?
Obama's response to the debate Q "what crisis have you been through that prepares you for dealing with crises as President" was the antithesis of articulate. He basically said (after long evasive stammering) that he's ready for the Presidency because he was raised by a single mom and made mistakes as a teenager that he recovered from.
Now that's a resume!

Whether one is for or against Obama, there are millions of muslim extremists who believe his assassination would be in order. Something to think about.
