Vatican, Feb. 4, 2008 (CWNews.com) - After Pope Benedict XVI (bio - news) met on February 2 with Fatmir Sejdiu, the president of Kosovo, the Vatican press office issued a statement emphasizing that the Holy See was not changing its policy regarding the possible independence of the Serbian province.

The Vatican "will follow developments on the ground with particular attention," the official statement indicated. The communiqué went on to say that the Holy See looked for a peaceful resolution of conflicts there, respectful of the rights of all parties.

In his talk to Sejdiu, the Vatican revealed, Pope Benedict made a pointed reminder that Kosovo is a land "where Christianity has been present since the first centuries of our era." The Christian minority in the predominantly Muslim province-- and particularly the Orthodox of the ethnic Serbian population-- have been the objects of intimidation and violence since the warfare that rocked the province in the 1990s.

It's good to see that Rome is paying attention!

But they probably should mention that Kosovo has been made Judenfrei by the Muslim Fascists.

“It’s good to see that Rome is paying attention!”

Indeed it is and since the Orthodox hating heathen clowns in the Washington government are looking the other way, its good to know that Moscow too is watching!

And of course we once again see the Orthodox desperately need the leadership of the pope. No surprise there. Same old, same old.

Too bad our own government cannot see this. All you have to do is count the number of churches that have been destroyed by the Muslims.

Why, to tell us what we already know? That actually qualifies as leadership in some place, I suppose. ;-D

One of the reasons Islam was able to get off the ground in the first place was because of the divisions between the Eastern and Western Churches. Furthermore, the Eastern Church had a very weak authority structure (partially because of the plague of heresies it had suffered) and was unable to stop many of the disastrous events or to coordinate an “official” request to the West for help.

We can’t let this happen again.

I never dreamed a day would come when the President of the USA could not be trusted to protect Christians regardless of their geographical location.

I pray the Pope will be there for the Christian Serbs, I pray the Russians will not fail the Christian Serbs, I know I will never deny the Christian Serbs.

I am ashamed Bill Clinton attacked the Christian Serbs for trying to protect what they see as their country!! When the Mexicans demand the USA return the Southern Part of the Now USA to Mexico I will support the Mexicans.

I will fight to defend the Serbs, they saved the lives of American Pilots in WW2. The Serbs have been friends of the Americans all my life and Not one time have they ever killed an American.

The worst thing that could possible happen to the Saracens in the Balkans is that the Chruch of Rome Join hands once again with the East!

That would be a wonderful day!
All Christians united Under one Pope! SARACEN, YOU WOULD FEAR THAT, YOU WOULD FEAR TRYING TO GRAB MORE LAND THAT BELONGS TO CHRISTIANS.
SARACEN YOU WOULD WALK OUT OF LEBANON AND RETURN THE LAND TO THE RIGHTFUL OWNERS, THE CHRISTIANS

Yes, I know. Apparently you have at least three of them in the Ukraine alone! And how effective have you Patriarchs been in solving problems in recent centuries?

Too true.

Sadly, however, it is the West now that is as sadly weakened by heresy as the East was centuries ago. Still, Benedict’s voice is strong in defense of Christians.

There is much truth in what you have written. However, I could never support a group that would advocate destroying the territorial sovereignty of the US.

Just one in Serbia.
His Holiness Patriarch Pavle was factor of stability and spirituality in Serbia. Brought stability in political life and helped nation to resurrect from communism into Christian society.
Serbia now, is a Christian nation... There are not many Christian nations in Europe these days...

And the sort of “leadership” that the Orthodox have not needed since the beginnings of the Church, most importantly.

But I know how badly some would like to rule us. They will be denied until the end of time.

Truly, there are so few that Europe has to be considered pagan all over again!

Yeah, it helped you so much in resisting attacks by Islamic forces...oh, wait...

“But I know how badly some would like to rule us. They will be denied until the end of time.”

We don’t want to rule you. The Muslims want to rule you - and they’re getting their wish.
