All anyone needs to do is go see why Grassley is investigating these phonies. Spending millions on elaborate property, furnishings, automobiles and airplanes — all while claiming tax exemptions as a religious organization — is enough to make anyone vomit.

(Never forget the Republicans who voted for illegal immigrant amnesty in 2007!)

I don’t believe I have ever seen a preacher holding a gun to anyone’s head and forcing them to give tribute...I have seen governments do that but not Copeland.

Amen Brother!
Most of these televangelists don't have a clue about what it means to do what they do for God's Glory!

Phony holy men and indulgent greed by these televangelist hucksters do far more damage to Christianity than you can imagine, especially to those who are searching for more meaning in their lives.
When con artists like Benny Hinn, Copeland and that pink-haired monstrosity from TBN have the covers pulled back and their greed and avarice is exposed by the bright lights of publicity, those who are earnestly searching are led to believe that this is all Christianity is about.
I hope there is a special place in hell for those who use the Word of God to defraud and deceive people like this.

Your point being...what? That these megachurches should all take institutional vows of poverty? Who sets the limits?
I’m not convinced, yet, that Grassley has any business geting involved in this cooked-up controversy. People who choose to support their church should satisfy themselves that donations are being spent as they would wish. If not, they can stop sending money.
Why the hell does the government want to stick their nose into this kind of thing, with all the crap going on in Washington? I’d suggest we clean up the government’s house, first. Then, we can look outward...
Lock and Load.

How many airplanes have you given away? How many churches have you helped build? How many mission organizations do you sponsor and support?
