The land owners/wall refusers just lost their case ... that makes me happy. What am I supposed to be bugging congress critters about?

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/search?s=landowners&ok=Search&q=quick&m=all&o=time&SX=479f5949e036601781035c1367251ce7e1d9379f

I know your posts won’t even be noticed by most people on a thread this large, but stop bugging me with nonsense.

“i don’t even want to think about next year’s speech and who will be giving it.”

No one will be giving the speech next year. The next one comes in 2010.

New presidents still don’t know where the bathrooms are in the WH, let alone be able to give a State of the Union speech.

Overall, he has done a good job, despite what the left and their allies, the one issue "conservatives", would have us believe.

He has now come to the point where he can and will force congress to do his will on a lot of unfinished business, because HE has nothing to lose, THEY do, and they can no longer fight him like they could.

God bless you, President Bush.

“Ronald Reagan gave amnesty to illegals, 41 and 42 do nothing about the borders, yet after having to deal with 911 and having to fight TWO wars THIS PRESIDENT is expected to simultaneously seal the borders, deport all illegals, and reform social security.”

I’m glad to read this. I rarely check in anymore because of all the back biting vitriol regarding this president. Anyone who doesn’t adhere to the “conservative” views on this site get attacked as if they are the enemy.
Seems many will be waiting for the perfect conservative til they die. No wonder they call us the stupid party.

There are too many people who are short-sighted with poor memory for history, and that is why they bash a man who has done much for his country. Just because he wasn’t perfect they wish to rewrite his accomplishments into obscurity.

There is no empirical basis for your claim.

There are no Conservative Presidents who have done the criteria you describe as necessary.

I am fed up with hypothetical conservatism that pretends there is a perfect conservative coming to power somewhere. Reagan was no such person, nor is Bush. This is just cantankerous personal attitudes parading as some sort of virtue.

I do not see it.

Not bad. There already is a natural gravitation toward greater efficiency because it clearly saves money, and as energy costs increase, there will be more pressure in the efficiency direction.

"And I won’t be watching the final capitulation."

Do any of you have the courage to come back to these threads later and read your ludicrous words again? And admit, in your hearts of hearts, that you said something REALLY STUPID?

I doubt it.

I was responding to this:

“what am I supposed to be telling them?”

You’re plain rude.

Thats just plain retarded....GWB has done the best he can with a congress that continually backs down in fights.

He tried to get things done with a republican congress, but that didnt go to well. He has an even worse chance with this congress to get much done. The president does not have supreme authority to get everything done. He requires the consent of congress for much of the decisions he makes.

I think we have a dixie chick in FR!!!

"Please never forget when he was elected we held both houses. He lost them for us, and gave America to mexico. He IS the worse POTUS in our history"

The membership of both houses are elected by us, not selected and appointed by President Bush. You protest voters are responsible, not President Bush.

When did we surrender to Mexico, and why isn't Vincente Fox's name on the ballot for the primaries?

I didn’t tell Jorge to be an open-borders, pro-amnesty globalist. His ideological positions - he gets the credit.

Is it the testing you’re opposed
to?

I don’t understand how we can know
if students are getting educated
without being tested and reaching
accepted standards.

I’m curious ... how much influence
does the teacher’s union propaganda
have?

"Bush had his chance to close borders, deport or put in camps Alien Muslims and take out the Muslim centers that bred the hijackers. He could have and should have gotten drilling in ANWR, the Gulf and had refineries built. His whole compassionate conservatism thing was just so much moderate liberal pap. His Globalist strategy is un-conservative and like his father he gave in way too much."

I am really sick of the lunatic soundbyes, so I skipped to the end of the thread...only to read the same old paleo pap repeated beyond the point of ad nauseaum

Closing the borders is a STPUD thing to do, which is why president Bush did not accede to your "wisdom". We can't close the border between Iraq and Syria and YOU think we can closed THOUSANDS of miles of border??

It was a very good idea to not to put Muslims in interment camps, and gained him the support and cooperation of many Muslim leaders who WOULD have joined to fight against us if he HAD ordered them into interment camps.

As for ANWR, he is still trying to get it through. His own party bent over to the left. That isn't his fault.

His globalist strategy? What is that? His one world government that you people are always going on about when you take time off from bashing the Masons and searching for the secrets of the Illuminati? His global policy is about as close to President Reagan's as is possible. Your statement says nothing while pretending to say a lot.

We already KNOW the NEA hates NCLB and will do anything to get rid of it. If that socialist union hates it, it’s a good law.
