My brother used to say that a woman could never be too skinny or too rich. A while back I sent him an email with pictures of anorexic women and he’s never said such a thing again.

Do women actually believe we find skeletons attractive? Chunky isn’t attractive either, but there is healthy (and feminine) in the middle of skeletal and obese.

The problem is that the current ideal treads a thin line (no pun intended) towards the skeletal side rather than the curvy side.

For example, if you look at my photo on my FR page, most modeling agencies, etc would consider me a plus size model even though I can’t fit into plus size clothes.

You “can’t fit into plus size clothes”? So you are a ++++?

I think this was called “heroin” style modeling a while back. Looks like a colorized version of a prisoner of Dauchau, March 1945.

Not to take away from yer post but...

...last Tuesday, as my father and I picked out the grave site for my dear, departed mother, the cemetary owner began relating how so many of his recent clients were becoming clients due to their succumbing from-of all things-sleep apnea. He went on to tell us how he had one man of 41 years of age and another-and this was most astounding-of only 21! And both of these were buried within the last 3 months! From what he was told, everyday stress is the biggest contributor to this deadly malady.

Apparently the manufacturing of plus-size caskets, which used to be a special rare-used order, has come into heavy demand. One manufacturer said he used to make one every few years, then several a year. As of a couple of years ago, he was making about 3 a week. Furthermore, many cemeteries are having difficulty as the wider caskets require two gravesides, often abutting an already used one. Cremation has become a necessity in some of these cases in spite of last wishes.

The real culprits in pushing this size 0 skeletal nonsense are the gay male fashion gurus who want their models to look like little boys.

Weight is now viewed as a “class thing.” Thin is rich and obese is poor.

And yes, there are exceptions to the rule — so please don’t answer with pictures of fat rich people.

You have hit the nail on the head.

My hubby likes women. Curves, breasts, the whole nine yards.

This whole “size zero” thing is very confusing to men. How can there be a size that represents nothing? Is it possible to be smaller than a size zero?

Seriously, we guys need help with these questions. It just doesn’t make sense. Thanks.

It helps if you think of it as the difference between Fahrenheit, where water freezes at 32 degrees and Celsius, where it freezes at zero.
